A few thoughts:
1. I hope you all realize that if this doesn't work, they can still go back to the limited trade model, or the limited PK model, or both. I'm nervous about this too, but Jagex seems pretty confident in their new systems. They're not going to keep free trade and killer wildy if it lands them back where they were three years ago, so let's extend a bit of trust and see how it works out. (And if it doesn't work out, the rest of you be nice - at least they tried.)
2. I suggested earlier that young players - the ones too young to speak or see others' talk outside of Quick-Chat - should be PvP-blocked, so they can't be easily taken advantage of. Another solution to allay concerns would be to allow a choice to all players: in the lobby, you could select whether you want to participate in PvP or not. Anyone entering the wildy on such a setting would have a dove above their heads (or some such obvious symbol) and couldn't be attacked - and of course could not attack other players. If you want to change your status, you'd need to exit your world, change the setting, and then re-enter - with a 60-second timer before re-entering to prevent abusive tricks.
3. Yet another option would be to set a handful of no-PvP worlds (outside of the established PvP games, of course). These would be ideal starting points for beginning players. Or perhaps set a couple of low-level worlds where lower-level players could PvP without being confronted by uber-warriors.
4. One option is to allow free trade only to member accounts. Fewer of those to watch, they are (slightly) less likely to gamble with their accounts, and that introduces a cost for RWT sellers trying to come into the game to deliver their wares - they'd have to pay up a new membership every time their account got found and closed. Presumably Jagex's fraud detection has improved for them to try this since credit card fraud was a bit reason for the original changes, so increasing RWTer costs should have an impact.
