I would like free trade back especially with friends, but don't want the old wild back. I don't see why people who don't want to be part of PvP should be forced to, just to use the abyss or follow a treasure trail. Revenants make the wild dangerous enough, without having to worry about malicious bands of PK'ers. So this referendum presents me with a dilemma. I have opposing views on these two issues. So, although I do care what happens, I'm not comfortable voting either "yes" or "no". I suppose if I can only have one or the other, I'd vote "no". I just don't see why the two can't be voted on separately to better represent how players feel about these issues.

I never talked about rares - I talked about items in general.
By the way, I never like to see a big party con their voters (LibDems 2010) but if Jagex conned the majority of voters who voted yes (Come on, how many are legitimate?) and instead kept things the same, I'd probably become a member for life.
Once again, kids really haven't came up with any counter suggestions. I'm also surprised no one else has brought up the RSC wildy setup: Pk and get pke'd, don't pk and don't get pk'd.
What happened to the days when people would bring up cogent arguments rather than just saying "No, it wouldn't."
I don't even think the younger players should have a say in the matter, since they're more likely not as open-minded. How simple and narrow-minded is the mindset of "I pay to pk, I pay to have my fun and ruin other players' fun".

Firstly, i can't decide if this is a good or a bad thing, but for me, the two issues need to be seperated.
- wildy -
I used to *HATE* the old wilderness. As a skiller it was so overpowered towards combat noobs that i couldn't do anything without people chasing me and trying to kill me. However, since it became revenant based, the only difference i can find is that revenants tend to leave you alone more and as they have set wandering areas, you can easily avoid them if you want.
i think the introduction of the all-world-wilderness was a bit over the top, hence the reason for reconsidering this again now.
Personally i don't have the need to venture into the wilderness very much any more (i gave up on clue scrolls as i never get anything more than a rune hatchet), so it won't really affect me, but surely there's an opportunity here for split-worlds (i.e. one with revenants and one with the old wildy). For me, this is what they should have done last time, rather than have people stepping out of banks and getting creamed.
Although the votes will in the end show the full extent of the players and if the previous count is to go by, almost 90% are voting YES, which kinda says it all really.
- free trading -
for me, this is easier. i don't see the need for free trading of things like party hats between accounts. the only time i have used free trading is to give lower level players in lumbridge some equipment to get them started, which is what someone once did for me (6 years ago) and it made a big difference.
therefore, in my opinion, there should be a limit on what items can be free-traded - the easiest way would be by value (i.e. you can trade as many items worth 10gp as you like for an unlimited total, but not free trade an item worth 10m).
bit of an essay in the end, sorry...

I have to say "no" to free trading - just as countries refrain from not being involved at all at their country's enconomy (look what its done to the US enconomy a while ago) I think Jagex should have some sort of a limit. New players may get scammed, hackers would hack profiles more often and the effects on the enconomy would be just too big. Also, grand exchange with no upper and lower price would give great power to the wealthy and merch clans ("I want 99 prayer so let's say everyone in the clan to sell bones on a very low price (saying that people will only buy it that way) so I can buy all and level up easily&quot ;) .
About bringing the wildy back: Even though it would prolly be fun, I have 2 say that "giving up" such a big area would be very wasteful (as quests, skills etc will not be trained there). However, if a smaller part of the wildy will be re-wildyed then maybe.
