Firstly, i can't decide if this is a good or a bad thing, but for me, the two issues need to be seperated.
- wildy -
I used to *HATE* the old wilderness. As a skiller it was so overpowered towards combat noobs that i couldn't do anything without people chasing me and trying to kill me. However, since it became revenant based, the only difference i can find is that revenants tend to leave you alone more and as they have set wandering areas, you can easily avoid them if you want.
i think the introduction of the all-world-wilderness was a bit over the top, hence the reason for reconsidering this again now.
Personally i don't have the need to venture into the wilderness very much any more (i gave up on clue scrolls as i never get anything more than a rune hatchet), so it won't really affect me, but surely there's an opportunity here for split-worlds (i.e. one with revenants and one with the old wildy). For me, this is what they should have done last time, rather than have people stepping out of banks and getting creamed.
Although the votes will in the end show the full extent of the players and if the previous count is to go by, almost 90% are voting YES, which kinda says it all really.
- free trading -
for me, this is easier. i don't see the need for free trading of things like party hats between accounts. the only time i have used free trading is to give lower level players in lumbridge some equipment to get them started, which is what someone once did for me (6 years ago) and it made a big difference.
therefore, in my opinion, there should be a limit on what items can be free-traded - the easiest way would be by value (i.e. you can trade as many items worth 10gp as you like for an unlimited total, but not free trade an item worth 10m).
bit of an essay in the end, sorry...
