"I don't think letting young kids into the game was wise, but since Jagex does allow it, Jagex is going to have to think about that group. "
I'm sorry, but I have to point something out about this. How exactly do you monitor someone's age on a computer? There are some things that cannot be controlled. For instance, an eleven-year-old can log on to almost any website and claim that they are 18, 20, or even 54 years old. If you find an accurate way of sectioning off that group, then by all means propose it. But I don't think it's a matter of Jagex "allowing" it.

Here is my opinion after reading most of the posts here.
There are those who voted for wildy's return to status quo ante simply because they are predators, pure and simple...
reasons:
they're not really interested in killing each other, they're intrested in killing anyone who ventures into the wildy, using the all too familiar excuse - the wildy is a dangerous place. If they were only interested in killing other like-minded players, the PvP worlds provided ample opportunity of that.
That the wildy has always been dangerous is not even a topic. What PKers want, is to make it more dangerous because of them.
The excuse commonly given by them is that life is in itself dangerous, and therefore so must wildy be like life. Well, RS is a game, and is a totally controlled environment. And its definitely not life.
However, the principles of choice remains. I have no doubt wildy will be returned. I just need Jagex to understand that by what they are about to do, promotes the basis of denying a smaller group of players a choice of not participating in a computer controlled savagery versus a people controlled one.

@Carlobrand:
"* Content located in the Wilderness area reviewed as follows:
o Quests (e.g. Spirit of Summer) and Activities (e.g. Clan Wars) would be relocated
o Other content (e.g. Treasure Trails, the Beacon Network and D&Ds) would be looked at on a case-by-case basis"
Clearly this has been rather well-thought out by the Jagex crew.
Several upsides to the change have been pointed out (including my own input on page 96 of this thread), and I feel those far outweigh any minor negative consequences that arise.

This is going to be in a tight matter. Will the mods accept service of pkers to venture out the wildy and allow them to kill other players on their own will? It might be wrong doing because those players need to do something in the wilderness and such.
About the free trade,I think it might give oppurtunities to transfer stuff from account-account as the same person. Place the price check still and the item remove mark because they are really helpful.

Now one more thing about the wilderness though that could possible be fair:
Since the old winderness will be back, could the mods try to place old wildy in some of the worlds that do not have activity at it. That would be a good suggestion :D .
Someone please respond back to me to give their thought. :(

There is no actual date for this 'update' as it all depends on the voting as to whether it will appear at all. :)
It's up to you guys!

The instant I saw this I voted. I thought it'd be a nice idea to have this back, because I've always missed it. Now, I've taken a look back and have really considered how this update will not only affect me, but everyone.
You see, the economy will spiral out of control. If you thought merchanting clans were bad then, YOU JUST WAIT. The economy will be how they want it, and will be an insane mess. Trading/wildy will be back to hours a day just for a simple item unless you want to get it yourself.
Pkers will dominate the wild, and dragon bones will be worth a BUNCH. :|
I pretty much rely on the GE, and will continue to. But without the upper/lower price limits it'll be useless. I (we) will need street knowledge to be able to buy anything in this economy. The Grand Exchange is just less typing.

The good part of this update is I'll be able to trade with friends, and help noobs. I may set 1m aside and visit l
Lumbridge after the update. ;)
I'll also be able to give friends stuff for weeks at a time, as well as receiving stuff.
I'm not much of a pker myself, but hey - I spent a bit on those good old Dragon Daggers in the day, so I figure some chilling & pking wont hurt.
Finally, I could try staking again. You never know, I may get a stroke of luck..

"Hand it over!"
"B-b-but, I lost again."
"Exactly, now you owe me a total of 25,000,000 gold coins."
"I only have a button, half a chewed rubber snake, and 1,000 coins."
"..."
" ^_^ "
*/
Yep, lovely. :P

How about having worlds that are just free trade/free pk and worlds like they currently area? That'd solve this absolutely, and those worlds you could focus more staff on to combat the botters.
It'd keep stuff orderly, and the GE could be limited to certain class worlds.

EDIT:
@Fraser - They'll wait a little longer I expect, but by the voting percentages it's a yes. Also, it will take maybe a few months to undo the code.
