Runescape has designated areas wherein players, if they choose to, can go and face off one another or others if want be: Bounty Hunter, Castle Wars , Duel Arena, a player-owned house's combat ring or Dungeon, Stealing Creation, a PvP World or Bounty World, Soul Wars, Clan Wars, Fist of Guthix, and the TzHaar Fight Pits. It was very hard to find people who would want to buy your things and who you would want to buy from. Free trade would make devastate the economy and players' incentive to train skills if there is no payout in the end. If you train fishing, for example, who wants to buy 500+ raw lobsters if you have no need for them if you're just training one skill? And what about the person that needs those-
