Is this Update really what you would want for the Future of Runescape's Players and Moderators?
Is the Economy worth a small print in the Lastest Guiness World Record's Book?
I personally say "NO".
With your winning of the 2009 and 2010 Golden Joystick reward, I do personally believe that Runescape is going 110% with a "Old Wilderness" nor a No Trade Limit.
Sure the Trade Limit will make some people super-rich.
But think about the Less Intelligent, Less Mature players.
Half of them aren't out of 1st School. They have no Idea on Economic, No idea on Bartering. Nothing related to trading except that Runescape has a Green 'Accept' Button; And a Red 'Decline' Button.
If current people didn't like the Trade Limit as it is now, they either Left or Got on with it.
And with the new "Referendum" There are only 700,000 Players that have registered. Half of the People that have actually spammed the old Primitive "VOTE!" button. Many people could vote from Random names, other from Banned or Stolen Accounts, but in a less mature defintion - Runescape is Filled with Scammers that would love to see a Child Cry, and only gaining around 6,000 - 10,000 Gold Pieces.
Think of the Community of Runescape that has NO Reports filed against them.
And once again JaGeX Is it all worth a Small Section in the Next Records Book?

I don't think that they should return on every world, just some, but Jagex hadn't considered that yet. I think that IF the wildy and free trade comes back, there will be lots of people asking for it gone. I'm not saying you're wrong, just that there are alternative things that can be done.

Sorry to dissapoint you folks, but really this whole thing will come down to a few points.
1) Can Jagex get more players back than they will lose by this update. More players more cash. This is something players could debate and argue all day.
2) Errr thats it.
This is a commercial decision and as a company I cant really blame them.
Doesn't mean I like the decision as I believe allowing Pk in all worlds will kill the game. I remember the problems before and the vast qty of bots,RWT and scamming will be back. There are enough bots now, there used to be loads more. RWT hasnt gone away but will be rife again.
If any Pkers think the skillers will wander into the wildy and hand over their hard earned cash then they should think again. Maybe some worlds with old wildy on would keep some of the greedy pkers happy so they don't have to work and can fight, but I doubt it as the rich pickings won't go there.
If the trade limits vanish I can see chaos again, Jagex worked hard to eliminate the probs don't backdate the system now. Leave the past where it should be and keep the company moving forward. If players want a high trade limit then the current way is the fairest, work for it. Maybe raise the limnits a bit but don't remove them.

old pking was only in wildy, unless you played classic, but that a whole dif situation....
whn this update happens only the wildy will be pvp, and in lvl 1 wildy if your lvl 56 u can only att/be attd by a lvl 57 or 55... lovl 2 wildy a lvl 58 or 54

I was a runescape player from 2005-2007. I lef the game shortly after the introduction of the new trade system, which personally made the game unenjoyable.
Today, after reading the announcement, i decided to take a walk around runescape and reminisce over the good old days, when world 2 was the main trade world. I remembered the days of falidor park being the main trade centre, even the different sections and what they where used for. Next to the bank being herb sellers, the back of the park being dragon armor sellers, the west of the park being barrows, and finally the richest players standing behind the park showing off their party hats.
I personally would love a return to the good old days and would probably start playing again.
What a lot of people don't understand is that in 2009 (2 years after the big update) a law was passed in china making Real World Trading illegal. This pretty much takes out half, if not more of the bot's that used to run on runescape.

I hope old school players will take this post to heart and vote accordingly.

the joystick award is for game design, nothing to do with happyness of players, if they had the old rs pvp and trade and the graphis, quests and gameplay they have now they would win best game of the year... well i dont know if they have that over seas :/

you have no proof that that is what happened and if that did happen. and i'm not sure but didn't the price d claws go up after the trade limits changed... and also merchants are still making prices higher these days...

Phthartic your a noob especially, you have no real reason and take some of my posts and twist them around, i never said the wildy now is dangerous, it isnt all i said wax that revs made everything a pain.

REVS AND PKERS CANT BE IN SAME WILDY! revs where to make wildy dangerous, with pkers back you dont need that danger, they make it dangerous
and yes i as apker dont want to see something that can hit constant 32's 320's... the wildy was origiannly made for pking period

yeah it did actually, they didnt get rid of wildy for any reason at all other than you could trade large amounts of cash if you killed your friend or a goldfarmer...

to the kids who played pre 07 im allitle disapointed if you said no to wildy :/ im guessing you where like me and maybe not the BEST at wildy but about 2 months before removal i got very good and i can assure you from the point of a kids who died many times, there is no only line game that can compare.

and to all you kids whining about kid making multiple accounts
OPEN YOUR EYES, make multipul accounts of your own!!! and making accounts isnt THAT easy and its boring, we are whiining but like 600k votes if we cut that in half we are still wining!! so STFU!!!

remember this post page and tell to all the noobs in future...
here is how "scamming works"
scenario 1:
Players 1 buys 1k mage logs and 1k willows (they used to look like eachother) mage logs are on market price for 1.3k ea he selling in world 18 cammy bank for 800 ea, player 2 sees this and thinks he is about to get the deal of a lifetime, he throws up his 800k for 1.3mil worth of mage logs and clicks away at accept not wating player 1 to think, player 1 quickly and quitely switches the mage for willows, and clicks accpet himself, now in second trade window if you where smart you would see is says willow logs (x1000) and not magic logs(x1000)... player 2 just spent 800k on maybe 30k of willows...

scenario 2:
before money was colored at diferent mils you could make 4 look like k... a whip was worth about 3mil so player 1 would sell a whip for 3mil player 2 comes and puts up 50004, now that is only 50k but it used to look like 5000k player 1 gets all excited and rapidly clicks accept... in second trade window he SHOULD look and see it saus 50004 and not 5,000,000....

simple enough?
