If you remember the old days, you would know how many botters their were that would just skill and then give all the resources to their mains.
Yes they detect these bots but I forget which video it was on youtube. But some guy made a botting video and how some bots are crazy undetectable. But yea.. my friend has been botting 99 woodcutting and 99 cooking. I always report him every chance I get. But he's still not banned.
If their scanning systems were so intense I am sure that they would have banned many accounts, but srs I see crazy botters everywhere.
I am not saying its garunteed that botters will come back for sure, just it will increase and prob lower a lot of resources. E.G Yews, lobs, swords, ores.
