Deer Valinor.
The wilderness is NOT fixed, it is no longer thrilling and entertaining as it use to be, if you don't want 1 itemers to function, remove the item protection in PvP worlds. I tell you, the wilderness is NO longer thrilling, it is just hours and hours of waiting for good drops, no one wants that, it is almost as bad and boring as grinding. And newbies and scammers you say? Just don't be stupid, it's their fault they didn't learn about the game, and the people that fell for it are usually poor, but they learned their lesson for next time. Scamming is part of the game, and never truly will be defeated, no matter how much you cushion the game.

No. Don't bring back what you have already fixed.
When Free Trade was removed I was actually very relieved. Something new called the GE made it so players wouldn't get scammed. Items that used to be hard to obtain could now be traded without massive spam and lag in world 1 and large amounts of items needed for skills such as runes and fish could be bought very easy. Scammers, botters, and many gold farmers were removed from the game causing it to be much more pleasurable when skilling.
If you bring back free trade and keep it along side the Grand Exchange, the economy will be hurt very badly. A lot of loot from Slayer and PvM which used to be sold at lowest to get rid of it quickly will no longer do so. This will cause potential junk in players banks that they don't need but no one will buy for mid price. Also if someone is trying to buy a rare, it used to buy for max so they get priority, however now without a max, you just have to wait in line and hope that someone else is selling large amounts of rares.
If this is to get rid of Merch Clans, well you made the Grand Exchange to represent the Stock Market, you warned players about these scamming clans. If they still choose to join them it their ignorance. Price fluctuation may cause some items to go over priced such as beads and as you pointed out earlier this year the Amulet of Accuracy. But again this represents real stocks.
Personally I have already felt the economic downfall. For example I had a lot of items that I was investing in hoping that they would rise, however when the referendum came up, these junk items that are usually merched, drop drastically and I lost millions, I am not saying that I want to stop this because of my personal reason. I just think a lot of other players have encountered same problems.
You introduced the Grand Exchange to make items obtainable and to represent the Stock Market. Don't destroy the Economy. If you reintroduce free trade, the Economy will fall...

pvp worlds was just a mess and plus not everyone that pked were pures matter of fact their were more non-pures than pures pking and the reason why people went crazy because it was something that was taken away from them because there was so many whiners who couldnt kill anyone because he/she wasnt prepared for the outcome.

I think your basis that ppl were only complaining about the wilderness because now they couldn't use their pures is a little biased.
Alot of the commotion was simply based off the fact was now runescape had taken a way a major source of fun on the game
As for 1 itemers, i neer saw those ppl asw chcickens, i just saw them as ppl who were gud enough thagt they didn't need all of that stuff to kill in the wilderness, they were just that gud

@ Valinor-
Your points are extremely valid in the case of the wild, but you're forgetting one other part of the referendum; free trade. A lot of people loved having free trade because they could lend their friends a few million gp here or there to help them get an item, knowing their friends would pay them back(well, at least in my case). I really couldn't care about the wild since I never step foot in their, I only voted 'yes' because free trade was piggy-backed onto the deal. Plus, this is going to be huge for skillers since the guilds on the forums can open up again (woodcutting, fishing, etc.) If you don't know what those are, you could order a certain amount of logs to buy from a company or guild on the forum, and real RuneScape people would cut you your logs and give them to you. I was in a 'company' and ended up making friends with a lot of the people I worked for or met on the job. In my opinion, it really brought a lot of skillers and regular people together. But this is just my two cents. ;)

If Jagex absolutely HAS to bring this back, I say at least leave the Wildy the way it is. I have been playing this game since late 06, and as a PKer I can say I actually enjoy this new system. It feels good to know that your claws will save when you get downed, instead of losing them to some random guy.
If anything, at least keep a few worlds dedicated to BH (+1) and PvP.
On the flipside, I wouldn't mind the free trade returning, so long as the GE remains intact. There are times where I want to give a friend and item to mess around with, but I cant without recieving a bunch of junk.
