To put this straight, i'll just be honest. Spite the fact that this is my first forum post, I really don't want the original wilderness to return at all. If it does, and it looks like it will, how are we going to make money on dragons with mean players killing us for out great items? I have full dragon armour except for a full helm. I got the winged helm from Fremmenic Isles. I also got a whip of course as I am level 90 and have good equipment for my level according to my best friend JakeJake 3. Anyway, as for the return of the wilderness and free trading, I am all for the free trading, but all against the original wild, because like I said how are players going to make their money on dragons anymore? Or are we going to have to chop trees again? Which is still bad money even for yews, and magics. I guess players are going to start making good money off off the free trading return; like getting a lot of money from their friends or something. But still how are we going to make our good gp when the wild isn't safe anymore? This is what I think and wonder about the matter...

Obviously you didn't play before 07. Kill dragons were sooo much easier and no body had flippin cannons out there so you could actually GET a dragon to kill. I hope you understand it is harder to obtain dragon bones now than it was before, I mean, look at the price changes. 2003-2007 dragon bones 1.2k
2007-2010 dragon bones 5.5k

Ignoring for a moment that treasure trail locations will be relocated so as to accommodate those doing clue scrolls, RuneScape existed perfectly fine in equilibrium before the 2007 changes:
Clue scrolls were around for years; few problems ailed those doing them in the wilderness. I did not pk, and I have little stake in p2p pking returning, but I still did not find pkers to be that large of an issue. If I died, then I accepted that -- it was the wilderness, after all, and doing a clue scroll was not a privilege. But the vast majority of the time, I did not die; in fact, I very rarely saw a white dot and did not have time to quickly log out.
Have none of the dissenters been annoyed by the trade restrictions? I was dumbfounded to find anyone rejecting the idea of at least restoring trade to its pre-2007 status. I cannot lend a friend gold; I cannot borrow gold. I cannot participate in any trade (unless going out of my way to find "junk&quot ;) unless it's equivocated. The quest point limits are hardly suitable.
Gold farmers were **t an enormous problem before, and I'm not sure what holier-than-thou position RuneScapers take that by banishing gold farmers (only to an extent, for they still indeed exist) from RuneScape that the world will be a better place. It won't. Gold farming is perhaps the least of the problems the player must deal with; it is a burden only to Jagex.
Further, the RuneScape economy survived before the 2007 changes, and it certainly will thrive after the restoration to the pre-2007 status. If anything, the game economy was less manipulated, not more, then: now, clans of merchants seek to drive prices up and down; then, the worst one would fare is having to get through W2 Falador (and with the continuation of the grand exchange, even that would not be an issue any longer).
But most emphatically: pking. It does not harm a skiller to have to deal with the threats of level 1-10 wilderness much, but it is an undue burden to pkers and clans alike.

I honestly think that this referendum which'll bring back wilderness & free trade will be *atastrophic towards not only the players of, but the economy & persay 'fun' of Runescape. It will bring back as so many others before me have said, RWT & BOTTING which Jagex had at 1 point had numerous amount of difficulties preventing. Before Jagex had implemented the limits on free trade via player to player & player to grand exchange and the removal of PKing in the wilderness. This in effect will cause the prices of items to either plummet or skyrocket which then will cause many players to possibly quit due to the fact that the items they had once cherished & worked so hard for will become worthless or possibly out of their range of one day owning that item. See, one must view the limits that Jagex had set at one point as laws & rules that us, as players of Runescape must follow, which mirrors laws that countries nowadays have in place. Without these laws or 'limits', Runescape will once again become not just a game but a way for people to exploit others by taking advantage of them, especially low level new players who don't know much about the game & will bring back all the problems that Jagex had once faced & tried so hard to prevent. Many members of this game have already voted yes to this referendum unwillingly realizing the consequences we will once face again. My fellow Runescapians, please take into consideration these thoughts.
Sincerely, XIntoTheBlue

Also, don't freaking bring 40mil to kill dragons. back in my day, everyone wore a d'hide body, rune legs and a weapon so stop whining about it because you are stupid and bring multi-millions worth in items into the wild and losing it because someone is like, "hm...that guy has 10mil on him, should I kill him and get rich fast?" No on this planet would be like " daymn, he is carrying 10mil?? better leave him alone because he is BA"

That was because of Turmoil and Curses, which made training prayer beyond the level of 70 common.
In those days, Piety > 15% boosts.
New demand, prices goes up because of short supply.
Way of the world.

I don't care much for the old wilderness or for this whole Free Trade thing.
Old wilderness Pking seems to be silly in the face of possible 5m loot drops or possible Vesta Longsword Drops from current Player Killing.
Also keep in mind that 100k of the Rs population is small in the face of the 2-3m registered to Runescape.
Free Trade, I'm concerned it'd pillage the Ge.
God knows how Coinshare will work now too.

they're are many different ways to make alot of money. i partially agree with you on behalf i used to go to greens too but you could go to blue dragons or somthing else. there is any way to make money. you cant soul* depend on green dragons, we cant have pkin back because you don't want to get killed making money? that's where your skills come in. wc, rc, mining, fishing all those and more are great moneymakers.. so if your worried about that, i suggest you no life green dragons lol and get all the money u can. then focus on a skill, i recommend fishing cause that's pretty good money once u get up there.

i will say this agian and hope people pick up on it why cant we have both i.e why cant we have worlds with the old wildy in it and worlds like they are now why do we have to have one or the other.
as for free trade im sorry that has so many flaws but theres got to be a better way how about letting people choese 10 friends they can trade with, with no limits. You can chage the friends if you want but it takes 2 weeks from when its set and your account has to be at least 2 weeks old and have say 200 skill total or something to show its been played on before you can do this.
