Lok people get the mud out of your ears!RWT is stil hgappening!Its not going to stop sure it will increase but rs used to be great!Now it feels like im in a prison and cant do anything out of my free will.Most of the people who vote no are people who are in merch clans and dont want it to be hard to make money again.The wildy will become great again.It has been in my peronal mind that Runescape has been going down the tubes ever since 2007.At keast the workers at Jagex have a brain and want to revrt runescape to its originl form.T5o all who think botting has been removed answer this.Why when i to cut down a evte at seers village i saw 8 people chopng a yew at nce and all went to the bank and went to the same trees.They botted and Jagex cant stop them.Just tink about it!

As alot say this vote is flawed. Make every membership login so they have to vote before logging in...to get a true vote count. I would bet that most posters here and active players are skewed much more to PvP activity then leisure players.
Jagex will never get back all the players it lost - no mmorph ever does. It changes gets a few players to return usually for a short duration and then they move on yet again. Once you have lost a customer its very very hard to get them to come back and alot harder to get them to commit to staying. They have moved on - see better things to do or spend money on - feel jilted for some reason and resentment.
So this vote is to appeal to players now. It will lose Jagex more customers (like post suggested no more then 8% voting no...unless there are alot more causual players havent voted) and get back some albeit temporarily. As a betting man - I will bet they lose more customers then they gain back in the long run.
Flip flopping even over 5 years between players opinions and play styles only slowly eats away at your player base while attempting to keep current players happy. Stop pandering to the minority/majority/nastaligic players and just develop the game as you have so far...its worked why go back...you can never go back.
(As an example of a mmorphed failed attempt...look at eqs attempt to "go back" with progression servers...it didnt turn out way devs thought it would)
If you want to pander and keep your customers...give both sides what they want and let them decide how they want to play. Give PvPers their wildy back and allow some servers to operate with revs much like you did when you took away wildy n gave pvpers worlds to go to. Its the least invasive way to maintain your customer base. However, from a devs pov...its ALOT more work for Jagex.

If I see anyone complaining about losing their stuff after the update I've got a plan.
First, I'll ask them if they voted "yes."
Then, I'll spit in his/her face and say it's your own damn fault.
God forbid something like the massacre happens again because of some glitch (you just know) jagex is going to miss. I might run out of spit.

I have mixed feelings about these very different and separate issues. "Free Trade" and "Old Wilderness" seem to be lumped into the same thing with only 1 vote when they are not even related to each other. Personally I don't really care too much about free trade. I like the G E system since it simple and straight forward, though I do feel resentment against the merchants who hover like vultures raising the prices to outrageous proportions. Since I work for most of the things I have I can live with free trade, though I would prefer the current way.
The Old Wilderness, however, I do not like at all! I feel it gives pk'ers too much power to cast their cheap shots at people who want nothing to do with pvp, and too many people end up losing their hard earned stuff. With the free trade it would seem that this stuff also becomes impossible to replace since greed will raise the prices unreasonably sky high. I suggest having worlds designated for pvp and pk, and other world designated where people can play in peace and quiet without worrying about amushes by murderous gangs of thieves who then stand there gloating and bragging over their victims items. I for one would never play on a pvp/pk world. That is not where I want to put my membership money. :)
