Personally I don't want the Wilderness or how we trade to change. If I wanted to go against another player I would go to a PvP world or invite someone to the Dueling Arena. Alot of us have worked very hard to earn what we have. This easier way of trading seems more for those that don't want to work at it.
Why bring back something that wasn't good the first time around, after all RS did remove those options before.
I, for one, will not go into the wilderness if it changes. If the trading changes then that means all I've (and others) worked for was a useless task. Lower prices are nice but I enjoy having to earn it. Isn't that what the game is about? Earning what you want through tasks, quests, day-to-day chores.
Don't like the idea of another player coming up and killing me for what I've earned. That's why I don't go to PvP worlds.
That's my opinion anyways. Thanks for reading it and giving me the opportunity to have a say.

Also, if Free-Trade and Wilderness doesn't return, I hope you will realize who are beginning to base the decision of quitting RuneScape entirely on this vote... The vote that could fix RuneScape.
This WILL be the largest update of 2011, and 2011 could then be easily crowned the greatest year of RuneScape...
Just adding this one aspect into the game, just this one, will return RuneScape to its former glory, where Player-Killers aren't robots that attack everything in their path...
My real opinion on this debate:
Adding free-trade and Old Wilderness will make RuneScape a better place.
If free-trade or wilderness isn't introduced, then at least add the more widely wanted part : FREE TRADE
If, however, you decide not to add this great update, at least try to change the dying and losing all of your items part... It is almost pointless now that when you die you lose them forever, and no one else can take them, AND you have a time-limit to get them back. This has been tedious in old-RuneScape, and it is now.
Bottom line... this is the best update I think you can offer at this time... one that you have deleted for 4 years.
With all of the new content, this will be the best update EVER.
Edit: Might I add that the majority of the players who aren't in favor of this update haven't even experienced it? There is nothing wrong with this... there will still be pking, grand exchange, slayer, quests, other skills, etc. You shouldn't have to grind non-stop to get things the way you want in this game.

melody.. i completely disagree. your complaining about losing what you have earned when you have just clearly stated that you don't use pvp worlds anyway... your complaining about something you don't, and won't use.. that's pointless if your going to complain about something complain about something that affects you.. i think this update is brilliant it brings back the "epicness" of the old rs. the rs that i liked..

Maybe Jagex should inform players that when they log in to vote, there vote is automatically cast YES for them. I logged in in order to vote NO, unbeknownst to me at the time that logging in meant I voted yes. Shame on you Jagex for swindling me out my right to vote. I wish I could take my vote back. The game is amazing the way it is right now. We got rid of the wildy in the first place to combat unfair trade and bots. Im sure Im not the only one who got tricked into voting yes, so 1.2M votes in 24 hours is in my eyes an unfair assumption that people want the wildy back. I want my vote back! or at least an option to vote NO... :@

Probably no one will even look at this post, but here goes.
JAGEX: While free trade and the old wildy seems fun, it would only carry that position for a short time.
Don't you realize what free trade would do? All the time you've spent developing and perfecting the Grand Exchange, its database, the trade limits. If this were to pass, then the whole RuneScape economy would be destroyed! Sure, free trade would be interesting, and a throwback, but in the long run, it would unravel so much hard work put into the RuneScape economy. It would fall to pieces with junk trading, friends giving friends crazy amounts of cash, swapping items from account to account. It would be madness. I can only ask you one thing: Are you prepared to lose many many hours of hard work and thought just to temporarily please a group of RuneScape players? It seems like such a waste of time and energy, and in my opinion, would lead to a large downfall.
The old wildy. Seems nice sounds fun? Yeah. People only thing about player killing though, they want original loot and all that. But the old wildy is useless in the modern RuneScape. All of the activities located there, the quests, need to be relocated. It seems like you're just making more work for yourselves. I think that the Bounty Worlds, and PvP worlds are just as good, if not better than the old wildy. They allow for so much more combat experiences and player killing, without scamming innocent players who didn't come to fight. Bringing back the old wildy would fully support scammers who prey on innocent players, just trying to go about their business. And in the old wildy, those scammers get rewarded with good loot and satisfaction. The current player killing worlds are wonderful, think of all the work that's gone into them also.
All I'm trying to say is that so much work has gone into developing new alternatives to free trade and the wildy, much, much better alternatives in my opinion. To just throw that away would be madness.

ill eagle.. your point is invalid. they brought out a referendum which allows the choice to vote "yes" or "no" if you really want to keep it the way it is go and vote no instead of wasting your time complaining about the past here..

Jagex already said that "clan wars, revs, clue scrolls,quests." Will be relocated. I miss the old school runescape
I remember once giving my friend 1m to buy back his stuff after he died in Monkey madness. I loved helping people like that. I would also kill players for whatever they had on. WILDY AND FREE TRADE MUST COME BACK!!! :)

OK all the kids that are complaining haven't been playing as long as all the old timer such as me and most the communality that want it back they don't now what it's like so they don't wanna become noobs too the game again cause thats what gonna happen to them so as i see it people that haven't started b4 2007 and still voted yes good for you
