Jagex is making a smart move in doing this. Many thousands quit with the RWT updates, and now they're going to hopefully come back, and many of the current players are going to be satisfied and probably play more, and pay for membership now as well. There is nothing wrong with the ability to trade what you want, when you want, and there is nothing wrong with the old wildy. Hence why it was such a huge disaster when we had the RWT updates a few years ago.
The only people who are complaining are the ones who are afraid of PvP. It is and was relatively easy to explore the wildy/do stuff in the wildy without ever even seeing another player. If you did, you'd run, wearing nothing but lightweight stuff, or you'd stand and fight. It was risky, but fun, but the risk was hardly even there.
If there were other players around ready to kill you, LOG OFF, switch worlds, simple as that. Jagex is willing to sacrifice 8% of its players for 90% approval if that's what it has to do. I'm completely satisfied with these updates, as long as they don't try to nerf them somehow. I want it exactly how it was in 2006 and 2007, etc.
