The only way you will get scammed is if you are gullible
Jagex has ways to protect your account from hacking. The Stronghold of Security was invented to help careless gullible players take better care of their accounts

I don't really mind what happens, there a few things that will come in handy if this is brought into action like the revs being moved making it easier to complete quests in the wild.
I personal do not wish to see free trading returning because people will try and scam you or will try and rip you off by saying you need to pay a lot more than the price it is really set for.
As for the wildly i wouldn't mind it returning to what it once was but with something different, keep the pvp worlds so us players who do not PK can go about our business within the wild without the worry of being attacked by a lone player or clan of Pk'ers.

dear people from runescape that do not want the wildy back...
why dont u just play Dora the exploradora or some other EDUCATIONAL game! seriously... why are u worrying about bots and other people?, second; the GE is a great way to avoid scams and if your worried about other players in the wildy... then you are nothing good of a CHALLENGE, i suggest u quit
p.s. a real loser (NOOB) does nothing but whine and never gets back on there feet, get over it .... i miss the old runescape i got delighted when i played it now sometimes i think im just wasting my time when i get on
thank you

First off tons of people quit when they updated the wild making jagex lose tons of money in membership, they changed it cuz free world trading and bots (mostly) well that wasn't intelligant look at all the people they lost then look at games like wow. People quite rs to play games like that because they weren't restricted by trade limits as for bots people bot now and if you don't think they do your just childish no matter what rules and how strict u make something there's people always going to break the rules the mods may have to work a little harder to stop them if they change it is all as for scamming with all the exlamation mark updates and big red line on the secound page if u et scammed your not very smart and if you buy something for the wrong price ur also not very smart u can look everythings price up.
As a pker and many like me the biggest bug in the sytem is ep. Old wild u could just keep goin out and killing people non stop now you have to wait and te drops when you make ppl lose over a mill worth equipment and only get 50k that's pretty bogus, plus you can't do revenge matches if u lose or win a fight because the drop won't be worth the food u eat.
Plus with dueling it gives new players ways to make money without doing boring skills.

- People who are complaining about the wilderness and green dragons/runecrafting/etc.
Those things have been in the wilderness pre-2007 and were strategically put there such that it involved undertaking a risk in order to gain an advantage. Rune crafters who do not want to take that risk are perfectly able to go to the altars themselves if they require a safer alternative. This is more time consuming yes, but if you don't take the risks with faster leveling then you don't deserve the benefits.
Another thing about the Rune Crafters complaining that I find absolutely absurd is that these changes would bring about a massive turnover in profits for them as the demand for runes increases with magic once again becoming a skill of value instead of the dormant former image of itself that remains today. Anyone who wasn't about pre-2007 should know that Magic was once considered the over-powered skill *o have in Wilderness - and in my opinion, still is.
- People who are complaining about bots/RWT
Back before 2007 there was barely any attention paid to these botters from a player perspective. I personally hardly noticed them or cared about them for that matter as I was too busy enjoying the game to want to waste my time worrying about them. As for the RWT, equally never affected myself in a detrimental manner. Fair enough the rule breaking is wrong, but why there are such passionate views on a matter which strictly speaking is down to JaGeX policing, I don't know.
Furthermore, to say that RWT is all to do with level 3 botting is a generalization and false. In the past there have been many stories of RWT from ex-players with the party hats etc. selling their 1bn fortune part at a time and making mega profits in real life. Just pointing that out.
The benefits for the community far outweigh those of the arguments against. Renevenats have killed me more times than PKers ever did whilst I hunt clue scrolls - and I'm 110+ combat...

I am quite adamantly AGAINST the return of Free Trade and the PvP Wilderness. While the loss of Free Trade was keenly felt, as I greatly enjoyed getting gifts for friends (and at higher levels, the gifts tend to be pricier), but I, and I'm sure many other players, understood the reasoning behind it.
What I don't understand is why you, Jagex Team, would want to resurrect something you fought so hard against, and for good reason! Real-World Trading is a HUGE problem, particularly for the company and for legitimate players, and it's appalling to see how those solid methods of limiting RWT would be put under consideration for repeal.
Furthermore, the introduction of the Grand Exchange was a major miletsone for Runescape. It's offered an easy method of trading for one, as well as offering a (semi)stable economic system to the game. I was so sick of seeing items with ridiculous pricetags that only continued to become more and more expensive, or cheap items being auctioned off for obscene amounts of gold!
Bringing back Free Trade in particular would destroy that aspect of the Grand Exchange, as everyone would simply go back to the forums to auction their items to the gullible.
So I appeal to you, Jagex Team, please do NOT reinstate Free Trade and PvP Wilderness. Real-World Trading should be offered no quarter, and I certainly hope you haven't forgotten that.

I was here long before wildy and free trade where changed. And honestly i like the way things were before the updates. Im posting 3 key points why i think jagex will do this.
1.It makes the majority happy.
2. Its meant to bring back old players who quit.
3. From a developers standpoint this had to have been underway for months for jagex to have any chance at getting it out in the next few months.
So no matter who says yes no or maybe, its going to happen.
The free trade will boost the economy and give merching clans a *ite in the butt.
and the wild will get older players who quit because of limited trade and wild to come back.
The new timers who just dont understand how to play a more difficult game should go play WoW.
And as a side note this is not reverting the old rs. Its just combining the best of both worlds. (This is not a reference to hannah montana).
