Easy solution for you then. Use another altar that's not in the wilderness. =P Other people used Abyss in old wildy or used alternative safer altars, if they could do it, you can too. You're not forced to go to the Abyss to train runecrafting, there are altars such as the Astral, Law and Nature altar outside of the wilderness for people to use if they don't wish to get killed. Don't get me wrong, I was an anti pker and hence left runecrafters alone, so I've nothing against runecrafters. However, the wishes of the few do not outweigh the wishes of the many. But I think it's rather unfair for people to just be so negative because their fastest way of training is risky yet they do have other options to still train.
If you wish to state that the Abyss is the best exp/best money for you, 99 runecrafting is profitable if you still use safer altars. Sure, it's faster to use the Abyss but the idea of the Abyss was for it to be better exp at the expense of it being a greater risk in order to obtain this. That was the idea behind the wilderness agility course and runite in the wilderness, so consider people who mined that ore and like myself, used that course to train. We understood that there were risks to this better exp and dealt with it or moved to a safer location and missed out on the better exp/resources. The wildy is meant to be dangerous and scary. =P Where'd the challenge or sense be in having a superior way of training without any sort of disadvantage to it over any other way of training? It makes things far too easy if everything had a far superior way to achieve it without any sort of disadvantage to it. Old school players had easier ways to achieve their 99s forced on them and nothing was done about it even though many of us didn't like that our 99s were effectively cheapened, so I'm afraid that things will have to just be accepted and dealt with like we all had to do. Wouldn't be fair to favouritise others, we are all treated equally.
