I find myself in a position where i'm torn. As much as I would love to have the wild back and free trade, there are the previous problems returning of RWT and bots. in my opinion I think atleast bringing the old wilderness back where you can lose everything is 100% yes! For the following reasons:
The whole point of the wilderness originally was that you ventured there at your own risk and that you were aware of the fact you would not be returning.
The shear fact that you would be carrying valuables and could lose them, kept you on edge! You looked around every corner always alert! At the same time if you were on the other side you would be watching and waiting to see if you can PK that full rune off another player! The adrenaline alone was a thrilling rush to any player!
I think players who do not wish for this part of the game to return, either never really played RS during the old wildy was there or they got lured one time and never forgave the game for it. Grudgeholders!
I think with a few improvements to the wilderness and a few updates it can return as before and even better! For people who have complained about clue scrolls! There can be clue scroll worlds or worlds with a similar purpose which would still allow players to go by their usual agendas without risk or hassle. I mean there are worlds for pretty much everything else why not have a few changes here and there the old wild is back and then everyone is happy! You chose whether to venture into a world where you can be attacked in wild and wheteher you go into a fight free wild world.
I will admit this was a huge factor for me quiting RS for a long period I have only recently reyurned and it has never been the same as before!
