I'll actually agree with Stattgar on one thing and meet him halfway on another.
I think "hacking" is really a misnomer. It evokes an image of someone using a computer program to "crack" someones pass*word or steal their account some other way. All that's happening is that the person gave their pass (or allowed access to it somehow) to their friend (or relative...) or made a lame, easy to guess pass. I don't see that free trade makes that process any easier, though I think it makes the thief's getaway faster. Trade limits slow them down, giving more time to recover your account.
And, yes, I agree that we shouldn't try to gear the game to the lowest player's age like the Stronghold of Security did. You do kind of need to take responsibility for protecting yourself. But we have enough rude immature players now whose sole pleasure is making other players miserable without inviting tons more back in.
You supporters just have to learn to accept that traits like willingness to cheat (botting, scamming, RWTing, making multiple accounts to vote) and enjoyment of robbing players through murder (PK worlds have willing "duellists"; old wildy PKing is frequently murder) and acting rude and immature to others ingame very frequently go together.
I'm already seeing many more extended rude exchanges in public chat as the players who left when old wildy was removed come back to prepare for the new regime.
