>>>>at all?
Yes, everyone will get harmed.
Every player who was around at times when free trade and pk was removed should remember 50+ bots around EVERY higher tree in Runescape.
50-100 bots near every fishing spot.
Constant line of bots between Draynor and Port Sarim.
Hundreds of RWT website advertisers in every city.
Bots in every training and skilling spot (and not just 1-2 bots). Even in Salarin the Twisted's cave!
More bots behind Varrock Castle than there are people around GE nowadays.
Scams, trust trades, team scams going on in every city.

Is THAT really what Runescape needs just so that few people can kill few pixels (which they can do nowadays too)?

Back when free trade was around it was nice to be able to share certain things with my buddies, and im hoping that aspect comes back. but without the scamming and incredibly high price setting from people saying it's its worth. i'd have to say the good aspects are outnumbered by the bad. I'm going for a boycott on this one.

Yes.
But seems that suddenly with no apparent reason they decided to destroy it all with plans to bring back thousand bots per every server.

Back in the days of the old Wilderness, I was not a PKer. In fact, I almost died several times doing Wildreness activities such as learning Saradomin Strike, doing a treasure trail, or the Ghostly Robes miniquest. All because of Pkers. They were a serious problem for me, and I was anxious about going into the Wilderness every time. So...
I'd be fine with the old wilderness coming back. The whole point of the wilderness is to be a scary place where death is incredibly likely.
However, if it does come back, how will players complete the various quests that now take place in the wilderness? Most other Wilderness activities all shared one strategy to avoid being killed by a Pker: Go in, do what you need to do quickly, and get out. With the quests, this isn't possible. Maybe we could have a world or two with a theme of "Pk-free" where you could do the quests without Pker interference. Guaranteed the Pkers would camp out at key areas in the quests to kill players. Of course, perhaps all other attractions in the Wilderness could be removed in these worlds, to prevent such easy access to them.
As for the Revenants, we could have a petting zoo to relocate them to. Who wouldn't love that?

Runescape devolopers have done a marvelous job of creating a great game full of fun things to do for everyone and the only way to keep this game fun and fair (for everyone) is to take this suggestion and make it happen!
Freedom Of Choice......................

Do the Runescape 2007 like you do Runescape Classic!

Then people will have 3 options..............

1. Rs1 (Classic)
2. Rs2 (2007 Version)
3. Rs3 (The way it is now)

This will satisfy everyone !!!!! (except those that wish to harm people or scam them)

Adnetwork: That took an incredibly long time to reply. And I'm not even Christian. Don't go assuming things, as the majority of the update supporters have done. Making false assumptions can lead to consequeunces. ;) "Legacy. What is a legacy? It's planting seeds in a garden you never get to see."

I also have to say I like Kaf 47's latest post about ensuring PKers get nothing for their troubles by armoring and potting up using nothing but untradable items.
I would by default just throw on black dhide, bring 3 powerful (valuable) things to help defend me, and go about my business in the wildy. To be honest, loading up on untradables will require more effort on my part than just wearing disposable stuff, but I'm willing to expend the effort and small replacement costs in order to ***** them more thoroughly.
I don't do clans, but I know there are plenty of honorable people that do, so if you can get anti-PKclans going that's fine. I think it may just make the wildy a giant clanwars though.
I think the better use of your talents will be informing people the best ways to defend against and disincent PKing, through a forum guide or clan chat or something like that. It's going to take some research to figure the best untradables to use, where to go to replace them, etc.
Sometimes, stupidly, untradable stuff is considered very valuable in the 3 best items calculation, so you may end up losing something important/valuable and keeping barrows gloves, etc. which are easily and fairly cheaply replaced.
One might say I'd be crazy to risk 100K barrows gloves, but for the rare occasions I'll go in the wildy, the increased chance of turning the tables on a PKer with moderately powerful items which are utterly valueless to them is a tempting prospect.
