people were trying to scam you can't attain all scam attempts to bots people just thought they were sneaky and fast and had no "Big Brother" watching the trades like there is now. They are keeping the value system in trade and all the securites that already exist all they are doing is removing the max and lows of trade and allowing you to gain or loose an infinite monetary gain.
people got scammed back in the day for 2 reasons: they were stupid, they didn't look before accepting, and/or they didn't watch the market before accepting a price or trade they "didn't know was lower value". Returning free trade won't "ruin runescape" things were jus* fine before ge people made money, people lost money, but people had fun and that is what counts.
I got scammed a few times as a n00b but i learned from the experience alot of these n00bs that have been cradled by ge will probably get scammed but they'll learn like we all did. It's all common sence same as wild don't cross the barrier without protection or banking your good items unless you don't care about losing them.

Well I'd like to see and experience free trade but
many of us will get scammed 0_o
btw if ur gunna remove the high and *in prices in GE will the 4 hour limit still be in existence?

If the big red exclamation point that appears in the trade window when someone removes something is still in place, scamming won't be a big issue. If it isn't then you're gonna have to learn like the rest of us did. I've been scammed before and once you've been scammed, you learn to look more closely at the trade window and you won't be scammed anymore.

I am 100% for free trade and wildy, although, I would have to admit that alot of people will get scammed. All the new players since the 2007 update have no idea what free trade is like. They were born in and used to the trade limit keeping them safe.
Jagex, when you do go through with this I strongly suggest that you have an extremely good system to prevent people from getting scammed. And not that red blinking " ! " because people found ways of scamming, even with that blinking thing.

Totally Completely for free trade. But please have this scam problem at a minimum, I don't want to see our trade become limited again because a large majority "claims" to be quitting due to being scammed.

I've played this game for quite a long time. Granted, I took a long break and returned to this trade restriction and a wild that I will actually walk through. I did not vote in this poll because I do NOT want the old wild back. I do, however, want free trade back. I think the safeguards that are already in place should suffice to bring back the free trade system. In any situation, there is always someone who will fall for the smooth talker and get scammed. This can not be prevented. Its one of those situations that is 'live and learn.' If you get scammed, it is your own fault since there are protections in place that tell you something in the trade has changed.
I rarely went into the old wild. I do not like being randomly attacked by players who think they are better than me or just want to get my stuff. If I wanted to PVP, I'd go on a PVP server. Being randomly attacked while trying to do a treasure trail is not my idea of fun.
Please if anyone of any importance reads this: bring back free trade but NOT the old wild. Thanks for reading.

Although I do believe that free trade should be brought back, I am concerned about bringing the old wilderness back. The reason is simply: where will everything in the present wilderness go? What will happen to the minigames, the monsters, and the quests? To those of us that dont pk, the wilderness will be completely useless. Overall, I think bringing back the "old days" would be a bad idea.
@BuffaloBill: I completely agree, free trade should be brought back, but the old wilderness should not.
