Yes - The Free Trade and Wilderness.
It was one of the reasons why I played. If it does come back I am going to love this.
This is great.
I totally loved Free Trade. If you needed some lending you didn't have to be in Item forum.

As with many other devout, intelligent players, I have mixed feelings on this entire topic. RuneScape, to be honest, is truly magnificent with or without the Wilderness and Free Trade, however, I can easily understand why you, Jagex, would wish to bring it back. I truly did enjoy the Wilderness, and that too to a degree that I would purely play the game in order to battle other players in the Wilderness. However, I do feel that the removal of the Wilderness and Free Trade, along with another rather enjoyable activity, Duel Arena Staking, was necessary in order to strike a prodigious blow against the filthy cheaters who plagued RuneScape at that time, and to this day, continue to plague RuneScape with their honour lacking ways.
Nevertheless, I truly believe that the Wilderness and Free Trade should not make a return, especially when you consider all the efforts you, Jagex, has made to combat those filthy vermin that cheat and break the rules on RuneScape to such a degree that it truly hurts the 'RuneScape Experience' of other players. The only exception to these feelings were mine is if you, Jagex, were to develop a certain system, or perhaps modify the Wilderness and Free Trade you intend to bring back in order to continue to combat the filthy cheaters, yet satisfy the loyal players that you wish to regain. RuneScape has, and always will be, a truly magnificent game, and I truly hope you, Jagex, being the creator understand that the removal of the Wilderness and Free Trade in the past did not affect it, but rather removed those who were selfish and did not wish what was best for RuneScape. Regardless of whether or not the 2006 version of the Wilderness and Free Trade are incorporated back into RuneScape, I personally believe there are far better topics for content that you, Jagex, could focus on.
Ultimately, I disapprove of this gesture - even considering the revival of the 2006 version of the Wilderness and Free Trade - and believe it may do more harm than good. Just your friendly neighborhood team player.

Hello. I'm your average troll, i live under bridges and eat slop...
Today i've had a good adventure, i went to a website that asked me if I wanted to bring back the trade/wilderness...
Ofcourse, I am a troll, and what do trolls do?
I massively spammed the vote button, but to my suprise, i needed a runescape account name...
I ventured to your highscores, and to my astonishment...
I Found hundreds and thousands and millions of usernames at my disposel and quickly started clicking away..
Oh my gosh that was getting quite hard on my fingers...So i created a MACRO to do it for me...Oh how i loved those hundreds and thousands of votes i just created...
So that was my big adventure... Hope you enjoyed it!

The vote, which I support, is very flawed and an inaccurate representation of the Runescape community as a whole. Everyone can make multiple accounts and keep voting. Most people have multiple accounts, but most of those accounts aren't members. To make it more reasonable, the poll should be members only, because if you are paying money to be a member more than once, you should have the ability to vote more than once.
If this is some record stunt, which I have heard as a rumor, then that isn't fine. Jagex will probably see a crazy number of new accounts over the next few weeks, and a crazy number of votes. If they are trying for some record this isn't the proper way to do it.
I have also heard rumors of the G.E. being removed, which I strongly dislike. It will make running merch clans harder, and perhaps destroy them, but it will inconvenience the average player who doesn't play much and when they are on don't feel like waiting hours to get a fair price on items in order to play the game.
Overall I think it brings back more problems to Runescape and isn't a good move for the game as a whole. The people that quit in 07 about the removal of the wilderness and free trade are gone, and most will never come back. Bringing it back will only cause you to lose more subscibers. Do whatever you think is best, I don't run the company, but I have to disagree with the way you are trying to bring it back, and can't fully support this until you fix the problems that will surely happen when the wilderness comes back.

To be quite honest with you, I haven't ranted about any updates or postings from Jagex in a very long time.
So, I was sitting with a few of my friends in the cc. One friend asks me to go vote for free trade/old wildy on the homepage and I obviously thought it was a joke and declined. But another one of my friends comes into the cc and now there's a discussion about it, so I finally went on the homepage and took a look at it.
The post was started off rather nicely, as expected if you wanted to create some excitement and build-up for what comes next. So I went back to look at the discussion that was taking place in the cc and now they were saying it was a fake and that, well, Jagex wanted to break a record.
I have not been this angry in a long time in terms of something that Jagex has posted on the newspage. I never was a supporter of free trade, I always believed in working for my money and at that time I thought it would be an insult to a great portion of the runescape community if suddenly people were, well, getting items in an unfair way.
To the people reading all the feedback in that workplace, I hope you weighed the risks and benefits of posting up something like that. Because not only do the hardworking players feel insulted, but the other portion of players that actually wanted free trade feel insulted.
On a final note, these are not my feelings, but the feelings of a couple friends of mine who were excited about this posting...I'll describe it the best way I can for you.

Free trade was the worst ever thing to have been taken away from RuneScape from my experience.
Sure I was scammed but that's something you have to deal with and I mean if you wouldn't have gotten scammed in the first place, then you wouldn't have learnt anything.
That being said, being scammed isn't all a disadvantage.
I'm sure many people have the same opinion as me and I can't possibly exaggurate enough how happy i'd be if this were to come back!

I do not want to old wilderness back.
The following reasons why:
- Clue scrolls in wilderness = EXTREMELY HARD
Aren't revenants enough danger in the wilderness?
- Wilderness Stars = EXTREMELY HARD
Same as Clue scrolls.
- Green Dragons = No more people at green dragons, ONLY the pkers that can afford to stay in battle.
No old wilderness. That is why we have Bounty Hunter worlds.

Free trade - I am 50% on free trade, because sometimes you want to give something out to a friend that is more than your trade limit.
Reason not for Free Trade:
- Scammers = WAY MORE
Scammers will be happy because you have added free trade.

Scammer 2:R0FL, I scammed you 10m! Hahaha! N00B!
Even if they are reported, there will be too many scammers to mute or ban them all.

If over 1,000,000 votes are submitted "Yes", and Runescape then sucks balls because people are ruining wilderness and so many people are scamming, then I will then forth quit Runescape.
JAGeX, why take it away in the first place? Just because you want popularity doesn't mean you have to go *@#!ing Runescape.

-If you do take away the trade limit leave the grand exchange and item lending. Going around trying find what you want will be to hard.
-Also if you do bring back the old wilderness leave it in pvp worlds like you do now.
-Your leaving out way to much what exactly will happen if the vote is passed, people want to know if the grand exchange will stay please answer our questions.
-I think there should be a re-vote with a NO and YES option for EACH idea not just for both, and instead of just typing in a username make them actually log into their account with only one vote per account.
I know a lot of people feel the same way post this if you like it.
