If they(Jagex) haven't found another solution to stop RWT and botting, why would they bother putting up that poll?

Toke people still do that now...even with the trade limit etc. Stop being so naive and think about it. If you played back in 07 you'll remember the day the wildy got taken away. Thousands rioted. Hundreds of thousands quit...
They've tempted us with the idea of it coming back and 1.5m votes show that we seriously do want it back. If they don't go through with this update it will be devastating...So many more players will quit etc. we don't want it dangled infront of us to be snatched away.
Bring the Wilderness and Free trade back! 2011 the year Runescape was reborn?

As above, you could make millions, it could go either way. There is likely to be either inflation or defation. Just do some research and determine if it would be better to buy certain items, keep yours, or sell everything and hope gp either stays stable or deflates.

Hands down i been a proud rs user for over 6 years wild was here and free trade the game ran better granted scams and stuff were a big issue then people shouldn't have been visiting 3rd party programs and such bring old wild back and pretty much old runescape will not just bring back old players and possibly more money to runescape but it will also increase runescapes population we caught scams and such before bring back old runescape should be no different keep grand exchange and all the improvements but its hands down bring back runescape wild and free trade.. it will be worth it in the long hall

I was here that day and I was neutral to it.... I just don't understand why they would fight to take it away and then fight to bring it back ? They need to make up their mind no wonder so many people quit In the beginning God created Adam and Adam, wait wtf?

At the time, botting and RWTing was destroying the game, so they changed it to what it is now (well, not EXACTLY what it is now, but you get the point). Then for 3 years a LOT of people ranted and e-raged about it. Now they're "fighting to put it back" because they very likely found another way to stop RWTing and botting, and because people raged for 3 years about Free trade removal and the new PK system.
