If the vote is real then it is very hard to understand the reasoning behind it. Thousands of players quit runescape when the wildy was removed and when free trade was removed, the vote, which encourages players to advertise runescape on social networking sites just seems like a big advertisement campaign to get new members, yes, if the wildy was brought back some players may return, however most players who enjoy playing the game, carried on playing after the changes and have grown to accept them and like them, bringing back in free trade will create so much rwt its stupid, and with runescape being unstable for months after the change, i can see jagex loosing thousands of players once again by contradicting themselves...

People who say that re-introducing old wild and free trade will bring back Real World Trading, but you just got to look at google as well as most common skilling spots to see that with or without these 2 updates:
- There will always be REAL WORLD TRADING
- There will always be BOTTING
If you want some examples just go to soulwars or green dragons or something to see a great % of people are botting.
You just have to look at google and type something related to RWT to see site's still offering runescape gold for money.
Conclusion:
I think that all jagex has accomplished over the past three years after removing old wild and trade is that you have made it slightly harder for the Real World Traders to do what they do AND THATS IT, IT HASNT STOPPED AND NEVER WILL.
Looking foward to actually getting loot which i deserve in the wild, that is if it does come back....

hahaha i don't understand why people are against free trade or the wilderness in the first place... All i keep hearing is because they're afraid people are going to get lured and scammed. well honestly that sucks for them, but who cares? people got lured all the time back when the wilderness was old. I got lured once and guess what: That was the last time i ever got lured. It taught me a lesson; only trust yourself with what is most valuable to you. tough love is sometimes the best teacher!
I remember all the protests when they took away the free trade and the wildy, and it seems like everyone who actually remembers what it feels like to play in the old wilderness has quit... Because i see all these threads about people who want to keep the same, awful, hideously disgusting "new" wilderness instead of rolling back to the old. And i have no freaking idea why they'd want that.

*there is no more 75k/25k tricks.
*there will be a new item protection rule and replaceing with a new one.
*current bh/pvp worlds will be removed.
*all worlds will be reverted back to dangerious which means once you cross wilderness wall your in pvp areas.
*lastly all items, yes ALL ITEMS will be dropped on death other then your protected item if applicable

free trade:
*** will remain where its at but how its used will be modified for example,
- when you sell an item you will be able to put any, ANY ammount in and choose weather you want more/less/same
-when buying items it became more of a bidding war takes the closest offer to the next item thats forsale and so on
*there will be no ge limits example,
10 whips for 4 hours 10k pots for 4 hours ect..

I would love to have free trade back, though some would hate it you would get hundreds of thousands of your old players back. The vote, however, is extremely vague. It seems really informal to me. There should be some more information.
I just don't get it. It all seems like a bunch of bull to me, almost as if someone hacked Jagex (though unlikely). It's not normal to have a vote which I can't even find a link to, has no other option, no information, and the ability to post as many times as you want with any account and no verification.
Don't get me wrong, I LOVED Runescape during those days. In falador world 2, camelot bank, varrock banks. It was a lot of fun, and so many more people played. I just really don't think it's gonna happen and something weird is really going on.
