Free trade could go a long way to put an end to merch clans controlling the economy if we lose our dependence on the GE and start trading with each other instead, setting our own prices and offers.
Then with PK as it is, we have 76k tricks which is a nothing more than huge GP falling from the sky on these people.
Maybe both systems are broken, but which of the two would you prefer?
Free trade and Wilderness PKing at least gives the game more interest and challenge. Maybe it won't be all about who bought what skillcapes anymore. Less focus on 99s and more focus on gameplay has to be a good thing.
Tbh, I'd much rather bargain with a woodcutter than put in an order on the GE.
And with Wildy back, think how much your potions and food will be in demand. Skilling makes a comeback.

Wildy is supposed to be dangerous place to go, if you want a peaceful place, I suggest you to go chaos tunnel or lumbridge is the peaces* place in runescape.
Secondly, people are not blind. They can double check first before they click the final button to aceept the trade.

It's true someone's name cant be counted multiple times but you can have other people enter your names even if you disagree! I had a friend who said "Hey good new I used your name as a vote! :D " In theory someone could go onto hiscores or these forums and enter in the names of anyone :(

northern what do you mean? In all this mess I haven't seen any postings from mods. I'd like to know the real story regarding the voting. Are people really voting in other people's names?
Is the "voting" really that lame? I don't like the fact that you can't vote NO either. It seems like it's true that the voting is just a front for something that's already a done deal. I'd like to hear from the mods in a separate forum, or at least on first page where all could be sure to see their responses.

Solution to everyone complaining about fighting with bots to get a tree to cut or rock to mine: more minimum total level of whatever to enter. Maybe the mass crowds won't come back, they're obviously staying in business somehow right now so maybe they'll keep making Gp's that way.
As for the voting screen, you have to be 13 I think? when you register to play this game. I'm pretty sure a 13 year old knows how to read and can see what they are voting for. Plus the vote YES button is pretty clear.
