"The thing is it wasnt like they were going bankrupt before, "THEY still made a ton" of money off us, how do you think they can afford to pay over 100 employees. I believe epically with all the "new procedures" they have they can combat it even more while making money."
That was not the claims they were making at the time. They were setting out all kinds of doomsday scenerios where they wouldn't be able to take credit cards, banks would refuse to deal with them due to all the fraud, and they would be in real trouble.
This is their own claims at the time.
People not wanting the wildy gone at the time were quick to dismiss Jagex claims. Yet now, those same people that want it back are quick to believe when Jagex says that they will be able to keep a handle on bots and RWters.
Well, they don't have a handle on them now, let alone for any changes made. I reported a hunting bot in June. Anytime my falcon was on the ground, this bot would stand there and constantly try to pick it up, standing next to it and doing nothing. As soon as the bird was gone, whether I picked it up, or it returned to Mathais after I let it sit for the minute or so it takes to disappear, the bot would go back to doing its own hunting. But everytime my bird was there, he stood next to it.
This account is still around today. It never stopped gaining xp, even if it had hit that window of supposed two week temp bans. It is not rolled back. Fishing and WC bots are still common. Without trade limits, even daily resources off these accounts can be gotten rid of to other non-botting accounts.
And this is all the more incentive for better bots to be made, and it is always an ongoing battle even without it. So no, I don't think they'll be able to handle things.
So if the 'vote' passes and thigns do return, I do hope I am wrong and you are right.
