When I first saw this I was in disbelief, just because Jagex worked so hard against many angry players to get rid of the old wilderness and free trade. I'm ecstatic, though, because I REALLY want the old RuneScape back. I played for years before the big change(s) in 2007, and although I still love RuneScape, it lost a lot in 2007. The risk of the old RuneScape is what made it so much fun! I'm confident that Jagex has other effective methods of weeding out and taking care of bots, otherwise they wouldn't be seriously considering a move like this. I'm completely for the old wilderness and free trade, and if you're scared of being scammed, just be AWARE when trading with others.
I do have two concerns about the voting though:
1. Many players have already posted that they thought they would be able to choose "yes" or "no" after clicking "VOTE NOW", so I feel that a number of the votes already in could be a mistake and not actually for the old wilderness and free trade.
2. To vote, all it asks for is a username, so I'm wondering if one person could type in everyone on their friends list or any player's name they see in game and vote in their place. Maybe there are measures against that; I wouldn't know, I haven't tried.
Besides the validity of the vote, I'm very glad that Jagex is allowing the players to vote on a huge decision like this. One of the best things about RuneScape has always been how much Jagex cares about the players. I'm excited to see the outcome!
