lol you quit over this ? sorry but i don't believe mroe than 1% would quit over this as for when the free trade and wild was removed about 25% did quit due to this a and few other changes and a good 10%-15% will probably return once they learn of the return. all of your reason i seen for the ost part to dislike this change are really really unfacted and other things i will more than gladly back my claims about bots and other things

the main people sad about htis seems to be people who loved to scam people by raiseing prices using supply and demand system and will not be as easy for them t odo os in free trade

what it amounts too is alot of you see this as a problem because you want everything handed to you
maybe we should leave every how it is now for them and maybe move god wars to where everyone can get to it and maybe low ever boss lvls to 50 so everyone can have the item and have it handed yo you where is the fun in that

Yeah, people have lately been demanding opponents "back up" their "facts" on this thread, and of course neither side can provide ANY "proof" of what we assert here. I can provide some evidence, however. Page 774 of this thread contains the start of my posts giving evidence that only supporters were manipulating the vote. I gave page numbers of people admitting they cheated the vote, and unsurprisingly, 100% of the examples I was able to find in a couple thousand posts were supporters. Yet the supporters persist in saying 91% of players wanted this, or that the vote wasn't rigged. It's quite astoundingly pathetic.
As to bot programs involved in cheating the vote: there was evidence of that happening very soon after the FIRST vote started; several people on this thread claimed first hand knowledge of programs to harvest valid usernames from the highscores list and vote them when only a username was required to vote.
And of course, if the firs* vote was REALLY an honest predicate to the second vote, the argument that supporters have been using that opponents could have cheated jus* as much as supporters is destroyed, since there's no way to NOT vote "yes" multiple times, but there certainly WAS a way to vote "yes" multiple times, and the evidence is OVERWHELMING that that was done in huge numbers.
And as to in game botting: all I asked as an opponent was a demonstration of their newly proclaimed anti-bot techniques prior to reverting to free trade. To say, as supporters very frequently did, that since botting exists now, it wouldn't be worse after reintroducing free trade is an utterly moronic argument.

bots are more common now than during free trade why bot designed made bots that are harder to detect also u can have a bot running more than one account now with ip masking programs during free trade this wasn't common and usualy if there was any bots it was 1 account a person doing it and they were easier to caught now you have lvl 100s and ther mains using these programs to get monely lvl and alot of other things why because before it was not this advance and was only a way to make money for their mains now their mains are the one cheating for money with little detection risk of being caught
not to mention bot account that are for farming gold and lvls to sell to other players

botting went up because those cheating couldn't get money to their mains as easily their solution was better bots so mains could bot with out being banned
basically you can 1 person using a bot on 3 or 4 accounts 1 bot to make money for main second for money on pures or pkers
but it was usualy just some lvl 3 they made to farm gold and this was bad but now its worse because more bots and its hard to lvl in training spots because bots suck up all the trees and other items making it harder, before no one would risk it on their main
what people think is the current bot lvl is not as true as the real numbers there a far more han u think

What are you going to do to prepare if the wilderness returns? I was preparing but i was an idiot LoLs and went out
bank pking 150m+ plus lols :) died cause of lag but oh well atleast free trade and Old wilderness comeing back, now i can

was when me and like 10 other friends in real life, went to the Library and went pking lol got kicked out several times

then you are completely wrong.
before the updates**** never had more than 247k people in the game (that record was set in feb 08). of those that played 120k were bots. that number was derived from several source. it might be off by 5 percent but no more. the low point was set 8 months after the update when the total players maxed out around 80k during the peak time. before the vote was announced (for several weeks before) it was no uncommon to see the number of players hitting 220k at peak time. few of these are bots. mostly the ones that were here were creating accounts or were used to make players richer. this number is fraction of what it takes to feed rwters the gps they need to sell.
what it came down to was this.
only a few percentage quit over the update, but if the same percentage of the skillers and new players quit over the new wild, jagex will lose 10 times what i can possibly gain.

agreed mega ^ if he quits over this then hes just acting like a spoilt kid who hasnt got what he wants
thats what the kids that quit over losing pking was like. quiting over this is more about the fact that weve been lied to and things of this nature. frankly my dear, I couldn't give a dam. never had a river to build one on.
