Is it just me playing more or becoming more paranoid or has botting increased MASSIVELY in the last week or two? I've seen lots of new lvl 3s chopping normal trees, probably to get their wc up to 60 to chop yews for their evil masters.
I think Jagex should ask themselves if they are ready. I'm not sure how well planned this whole thing is but doing it already in two weeks sounds a bit rushed to me.
Right now, everybody who is interested in these updates is preparing. The stakers and old-school pkers will try to get the best possible equipment, the rwters will increase their marketing, the botters will create or steal more accounts and maybe upgrade their bot software.
Jagex must be armed to the teeth to fight HUGE amounts of illegal activity, MUCH more than there has ever been on rs. I'm not convinced that they have realised how much more botting and rwting activity this update will generate.
It is true that most ACTIVE community members are against the update, however we did not need proof that they are a minority. It might turn out that they were right, since they are probably thinking a lot more about the game than the common players.
My final point is that I don't believe that Jagex are prepared for what they will do in 2 weeks. If they have to remove free trade and wildy pvp - AGAIN - that would create MUCH more opposition than the first removal. It won't kill Runescape, but it will injure it seriously.
So Jagex, there's just one question left unanswered: Are you ready?
