Is it just me playing more or becoming more paranoid or has botting increased MASSIVELY in the last week or two? I've seen lots of new lvl 3s chopping normal trees, probably to get their wc up to 60 to chop yews for their evil masters.
I think Jagex should ask themselves if they are ready. I'm not sure how well planned this whole thing is but doing it already in two weeks sounds a bit rushed to me.

Right now, everybody who is interested in these updates is preparing. The stakers and old-school pkers will try to get the best possible equipment, the rwters will increase their marketing, the botters will create or steal more accounts and maybe upgrade their bot software.
Jagex must be armed to the teeth to fight HUGE amounts of illegal activity, MUCH more than there has ever been on rs. I'm not convinced that they have realised how much more botting and rwting activity this update will generate.
It is true that most ACTIVE community members are against the update, however we did not need proof that they are a minority. It might turn out that they were right, since they are probably thinking a lot more about the game than the common players.

My final point is that I don't believe that Jagex are prepared for what they will do in 2 weeks. If they have to remove free trade and wildy pvp - AGAIN - that would create MUCH more opposition than the first removal. It won't kill Runescape, but it will injure it seriously.
So Jagex, there's just one question left unanswered: Are you ready?

now here what mo*t of us was probably thinking about there last question
ARE WE READY?
most of us were never unready
and yes new players learn from mistakes we all been knew we all fallen for something before, but that is something that happens in real life and in virtual life.
trade limits and wills remove were more of a handicap on new players that keep them from learning skills that are benefiter them in and out of game
Everyone ever scammed once can tell you it doesn't happen again as easily and the facts are also once it happens you learn the prices and you look out for each other.
personally if i see a newer player about to be scammed i will step in and prevent it i can't be there for everyone and i know many other that step in too.

also removing the wilderness hasnt been proven to be the best idea rwt didn't die and they didn't "Disappear" i've seen in a lot of fan sites people buy gold and stuff for real cash which is sad jagex only slowed them down not completely stop them.but the question is now that they actually got it back means they have something to fight them with.. unlike before in which they just removed part of the problem not the problem it self.

@luckyluke
sorry to break it to you but its not just in last few weeks bots have always been around.
and the remove of free trade didn't make this any better why because the cheaters that program the bots just made better bots that are harder to detect most newer players don't even realize the bot is there because there programs have gotten very good.
and a lot of older player just think as bot as the old classic stuff and when reminding them that like RS its self bots get updates and make overs as well to make them better for their users.
if really want to know how to beat a bot jagax really needs to hunt the bot programs try them and try to figure out a way to fight that than just using a detection system for older bots.
also the other sad fact is most of the rs market is made up of bots why is it so easy to buy logs on the Exchange because someone when on a date as there computer chopped couple thousand logs.
bots will sadly be the hardest thing to remove from a game because u update to stop them they update to stop you from stopping them
