how are botter can hide with chat off you can;t ban a player for not being allow or wanting to talk so alot of them are easily "not a bot because of that"
some think bots are people who only walk the same path this is not true these programs are design to move around more randomly and to avoid most things
random events are not a probelm for these bots most are preprogramed to do a event just for that case.
places where botters are common are mines next to some willows in dragon ess mine and a lot more places rune ess botters are fun to find in members though with a cannon you can block them most are not program to know what to do and wil lstand there clue less not logging out clear pointing out they are botters non members bots run wild thought.
any reason you want to throw at me or my friend and we will tell you the real things we see and have seen in are years of playing

@ agent for someone who plays as much as you (based on your stats) your pretty clueless to alot thats going on in rs
there is very little in the game i havent done. im quite aware that a tiny proportion of the gamers believed they were the end all of the game, but they never were. thats why the game not only survived without them, but prospered as well. frankly my dear, I couldn't give a dam. never had a river to build one on.

sorry i type weird when i'm ranting lol
basically during the time frame of now and before the "bots" players are more common in fact few people are caught than you may think during free trade bots were usually noob accounts that farmed something now you have main accounts bots that are not caught.
the reason is you can't say someone is a bot because they are not talking why their public chat maybe off and if they are banned they can easily appeal it for that reason and go right back to it.
the facts are before the update i was all over rs and there were fewer bots than there are now.

they past that months ago. it wasnt just recently that it happened, and it was because of the vote.
bots have NOT increased since the updates. in the old days, every other account online was a bot used by rwters to make gps to sell. it was rare that bots didnt out number players. these days. occasionally you will see bots, but not that often. unfortunately, in the last 3 weeks, there has been a drastic increase in them. frankly my dear, I couldn't give a dam. never had a river to build one on.

I was going to try and argue with you until I realized that you are right. I remember seeing a lot of bots before '07, but I don't see as many now. However the ones I do see are coded much better than the pre-2007 bots.
There probably are more bots now than before, it's just impossible to detect them.

very true some of us older players quit when the change first happened and only check back here and there as for me i alert all my friends that quit during this it me via phone or text to this.
i know of many people who will probably rejoin it the return happens because "the game was ruined" by the major change t what they could do .
as for me i still when i am on like ot hang around lumbridge as a nonmember and hand out some cash or iron armor to help new players out why because when u first started someone was nice enough to give me a few gold to buy some items.

I saw a show the other night on PBS about Haiti. The sum of the show was that the island is now composed of:
A) Economy
- A group of very wealthy that more or less control all of the assets of the country
- An economy more or less out of control, with no "normal method "for an "average" person to ever lift themselves out of even basic poverty
- Scammers
B) Safety
- A bunch of kids living on the street to survive because their parents are absent or not able to care for them
- Roving gangs of thugs that atttack the helpless and kids
- The attacks happen mostly at night, but can happen anytime
- NO real counterbalancing forces in place to keep the gangs and other criminal elements under control
- A bunch of semi-government and non-government agencies that try to keep law by "banning" the bad guys into jails - but without trials
It occurred to me that this is exactly where Runescape is heading. So - You think I should pay so my son and I play a game that resembles Haiti ?
BTW- I see that none of the ideas that were in these comments were incorporated into the plan. I guess this post area is just so people can blow of steam.

(trade) first, u still wanna keep price guidelines because u dont wanna newcomer selling a rare item for 20k. u wanna make people aware of prices.
(wildy) second, wildy going pvp is a good idea but u will have to relocate every popular monster e.g. k*d, armoured zombies, corp beast etc.

exactly old bots are probably being caught and they call that improvement but they don't realize that better bots have been made. i made 1 noob account to test a bot just to see how advanced it was and if i was sitting there watching it i won't of believed it was a bot. which goes to show the programing skill for bots has improved.
also if rs would lie i will supply a link to the website of the bot so they them self may look over it and try to find a way to combat it but with chat off its hard to accuse.
(clearly i will not post the link for all to see i do not support cheat nor do i like it)
