Being someone who played while there was free trade and while there wasn't. I'll admit I'm skeptical. I had taken a large break in between and created several accounts otherwise I'd be one of those players of reknown, so when I came back to find the Grand Exchange I was intrigued, but also comforted. Its almost easier in a sense, but then again I remember back a couple years ago when you had this human interaction. Searching through the forums for the right item, sometimes we'd joke about where we wanted to meet for the trade, we'd try and name the most obscure place we could think of. If the goal is to have more player player interaction, free trade will do just that, and who could combat the thrill of the old wildy? So much deceit and so many strategies. The splitting of comunities, people with honour and those solely after profit regardless of the means required to get it.

Now when I play I can't help but be a little bit nostalgic. The only thing I worry about is the stability of prices, having them regulated is quite a luxury. So I'd caution older players to think back, and newer players to think about what they truly want before clicking that yes or no.
:D

The return of the wilderness and free trade should be voted on seperately. Very different issues. I would like to see the wilderness return but I do not want unrestricted free trade. Deregulation of the housing markets and banking industries is what led to the economic collapse in the USA. We should learn from our mistakes.

"with 91% saying yes to wildy and trade i think that in 2 days we will have ourselves a better runescape"
You keep thinking that when yew logs drop to the price of maples and sharks to the cost of tuna thanks to the gold farmer bidding wars, and the only way to get gold is to buy it from a shady website on the internet.
I honestly find it difficult to believe that anyone who remembers how things were when we actually had free trade would want it back.
Edit: And yes, it DEFINITELY should have been voted on separately.

I voted yes as i am an "oldy". I have mixed feelings about bringing back free trade and the wilderness. Personally i feel like having free trade would be amazing, but it still needs restrictions. Personally, I enjoy helping other friends out to better than Runescape accounts. As well, I enjoy giving anywhere from 1-50k to a new player because I want them to feel welcomed to the game.
Some Notes:
-Botters will always exist, you can never get rid of them
-People don't like change, people will always vote "no" to something they would lose money in (even if it's fake money)
-Since when was the Wildy ever supposed to be safe? It's the "wilderness" for a reason
-Free Trade WILL destroy the GE (I feel like more thought should be put into reinstating free trade)
-It is PERFECTLY fine right now, But having more choices to how i play would be nice.
Free Trade Worlds(Still keeping GE Prices as a reference to avoid being scammed and such)
-With Friends (1-3 months) 50k
-With Friends (3-6 months) 100k
-With Friends (7-12 months) 1m
-With Friends (1 Year+) Unlimited
-With Friends (Less than a month) 10k
-With Unknowns (Less than a month) 10k
Wildy
-Separate worlds for Old Wildy and New Wildy
-Old Wildy being people drop what they wear
-People should be warned like bounty worlds that "There is a risk to joining an old wildy world"
