to all you people talking about the negatives of free trade, wildy, staking --- keep it to yourselves. if you get scammed/lured, it's your own damn fault. quit your crying, earn it back with some staking. facts are: 91% (and more, including the people that quit because of the 07 downdate) want old rs back and the sad little 7% don't want 07' RS back. your pleas for sympathy aren't doing any good, and if you've never played in 07 don't *other posting. WAHWAHWAH ^_^ ^_^

I don't like the idea of free trade and the GE both existing.
Without the restrictions of Minimum and Maximum prices, manipulators like myself can achieve as much as 10,000% rises in a day. I currently have an item stocked that I plan to do this with, and can think of many more items this would be possible with.
I voted yes, because I loved the World 1/2 merchanting, the safety and fairness of staking, as well as "The good ol' RS" in general. Unfortunately, it won't be the same. :(
As anybody who has been regularly flipping lately will have noticed, the number of players who flip has increased drastically to the point where the competition has decreased the profit margins so much that I don't even consider it worth the effort anymore.
Many of these players rely on the Minimum and Maximum prices to know how much to pay/charge for their items. They also rely on them to keep their potential losses to a minimum. With the removal of Minimum and Maximum prices, what will these players do? I believe that many of them will lose a lot of money. They won't know how to work out what to pay/charge, and with unrestricted price movement, the price of an item could crash in the 4 hour waiting period between buying and selling very easily. I will use Dragon Hatchets for example. These are quite commonly flipped, although sometimes there is no demand and they will buy instantly on Minimum for a few hours. If there was no Minimum, players hoping to sell their Dragon Hatchets could be putting them in to sell for as much as 500K or even 1M less than Medium price, in the hope of them selling faster. If these offers are still there when the GE updates, imagine what happens to the price of the item! With a crash that big, players will begin panicing and selling all of their Hatchets, adding to the mayhem.
I'm running out of characters, so here is my question:
Will the current restrictions on the GE remain? Or will some/all of them be removed?
Thanks for reading :)

Ok now guys reamber the just want whatever will bring then more money just like other busnesses. They say that they want to make us happy but eveyone should know that they dont want that i have been playing since 13 and now I am 18 and i think that the best update has been no free trade and no wildy. I didnt like the revs tho they can kill people too quickly.
They are starting to look like the USA you dont vote for the people because they will chage the USA and make it better in the USA you vote for who you want to _______ you over. my word starts with a s and ends with a w kind of like screwdriver.
Well unless you are a combat person but i am not. My old account that i gave away or that where hacked are rodent boy,Zar roc s, zarrocs, zarrocss and the one i am posting with is my main. if you look them up then you can see i like to skill not fight.
But if wild does come back then people would camp everywhere mostly on the way to clan wars. only pures want wild back because the want to kill peoples mains that are not ment for combat. people want free trade back so they can buy rs money with real money and that kind of stuff.
If you *ant to make high qualty people happy then keep it like it is. If you want the kind of people that are selfish and mean that call people noobs and make people feel bad then go ahead add wild back and then see how many complains you get i for one will complain.
Also any new people or people that want to add me or that need help then you can ask I have tons of Knowledge that i will be willing to share. just add me and talk to me if you need help or anything ok? Also a update i wouldnt mind is more friends list.

To Jagex:
I vote NO for free trade and the wilderness. To be more specific, NO on these topics:
-unrestricted free trade between players
-unlimited staking in the Duel Arena
-Party Room drop restrictions removed
-lower and upper price limit removed

I despise scammers, farmers, and bots. I already like the security measures added to limit these scumbags. There’s absolutely no reason to drop these security measures. I’m for the old Wilderness, but if it will increase the amount of real-world traders, then NO. I rather have a safe and secure environment than a corrupt one; competing with farmers and bots everywhere.
Keep up the good work Jagex.

To Players:
All of these measures are to prevent scammers from completely wiping out a stolen account, or severely limit real-world traders from making transactions with buyers. As for the GE price limit, it limits merchant clans from having free reign on the GE prices, and adds stability to the market. And finally, the old Wilderness' extinction was Jagex efforts on severely limiting real-world traders. I’m assuming all of this is Jagex’s intent.
The reasons why free trade and the Wilderness were removed as quoted by Mod Osborne on the first page of this thread, “As you know, we removed free trade and the Wilderness in 2007 to combat botting, gold farming and item scamming.”
All references made under category “Customer Support”, title “Wilderness and Real-World Trading Q&A”, Feb-17-2009. For more info on the topic, after the first Q&A there’s a link, highlighted word “here”, leading to “RuneScape vs. Real-World Trading”.

I think that there is a lot of people here that have there own opinons upon what they want, but if you look at most of the post there are a lot that want it back. I also blieve that people are entitled to have their own decision. But in the end the vote will define what the majority wants to see.
Of coarse there is going to be a lot of talk about the problems that caused there to be updates and the removal of the wildy and free trade, because there was disscussion of those who didn't like scamming, lures and all the rest. But in the end the important thing is that everyone is getting the chance to vote for what they want.
*an't wait till all the votes are in. Can't wait till everything is back to the way it was :)
