I can tell you this, I quit when they ruined pking and took out free trade. I heard about this through a friend and im back on making them money now ^_^

Vote to bring back the wilderness and free trade now.

id say bring back the wilderness to how it was before the update, i knew 7 people just around here that played, wilderness will bring back alot of players and if people get lured its there fault for being dumb enough.
but about the trade, they should just raise the limit to like a 300k limit to everyone because if the free trading comes back there will be so much botters again and so much people will be trading in real life and scamming.
there should be a way that you can link your accounts together so you can trade as much as you want on to your lower level account like pure pkers and skillers. thats pretty much the only reason people want trading back other then the people that just want to scam people again and try to hack accounts to get money and people that trade for real money

I quit when all the new stuff was put in and when pking was ruined. The trade limit is terrible !

When Jagex says "The vast majority of our players", what do they mean exactly? Do they mean that the vast majority of players must vote yes, or that the vast majority of voters vote yes? Anyone know? Is there a specific requirement for the Wild to be reinstated?

Oh, and to the person above me, whether we win the vote or not, this referendum is going to take some time. Remember how long it took to get all the new content we have now? Just having the Wild back too normal will probably take around three months.

Just posting a thought here.... Okay I liked old RS sure it was fun with no trade limit and good pking, sure I got scammed but I got over it, anyhow the referendum seems a little suspicious. Im sure once old RS players heard about it they decided to rejoin RS, probably doubling the Jagex's income for about a month in memberships. If the referendum ends badly we will find out one thing, that Jagex only put it up to make a quick buck for the month, even though they would say not enough votes or some crud like that. If on the other hand the referendum goes through then Yay free trade and old wild back and I am just a moron.
Just some food for though would be great if a few people had thoughts on this.

I've been playing since the wilderness and free trade were around. I know that the grand exchange and the loss of the wilderness forced a lot of players out of this game. I'm all for both making a comeback. I don't think the grand exchange should be taken out completely just made so the user actually makes the price. I think that would simulate an actual stock market and it would keep users with steady "jobs". I had jobs for member's that needed gold and it kept me and my friends playing. The grand exchange took out the middle man now everything is automated and you can't make a price to buy or sell, which makes it a lot harder to buy items and not wait for an hour to receive them.

I am really against bringing back the old wildy. I hope if this insane idea does manage to get enough votes, there will be pk-wild-free worlds just as there are pk worlds now
I beleive pk worlds were the right answer all those years ago.
i really hate to see the return of rampant bots.

Personally I think this is a great idea, and I don’t know why people say bring back one but not the other, because they're both the same thing. Just in one, you kill to trade but other you just simply trade.
Anyways, to my point. One of my friends quit back when Jagex took away the wilderness and started playing on PvP based private servers.
The other day he came over my house and showed me a couple private servers which he played on, which I thought was "cool" but "not for me", which he well knew. What he wanted to show me was this:
On one of the private servers, the one he preferred playing on, there were two different types of PvP; Safe and Un-Safe.
In the 'Safe' version of the PvP you would keep your items and the player who killed you would receive random loot. Kind of like the EP system you guys have implemented in the current PvP worlds, except you don’t keep your items.
In the 'Un-Safe' version of PvP it was a dead reflection of the old Wilderness. If you killed me, you'd get my stuff, if I killed you, I'd get your stuff.
Just an opinion but maybe you could look into implementing the "Safe PvP" mechanics into the Wilderness when you bring it back, but of course tweak it a bit. Maybe something like, if your skulled, you attacked someone, you lose all but three items or your most valuable item (one) if you die, but if you’re not skulled, you were attacked and retaliated, you keep everything.
Please keep in mind not because an item is the most expensive means it's the most valuable item, e***
** Abyssal Whip and Dragon Claws may be a lot more expensive then Chaotic weapons, but a Chaotic weapon is a lot more valuable.
Also a Skill Cape is not more valuable then items I see it having priority over.
