As long as they move EVERYTHING (including pengs, clues, & entrance to abyss) out of the wildy, go ahead & bring it back. I just remember the pkers that always seemed to be around the spot where the mage was to tele you into the abyss. That was sooooo annoying...
As for free trade, it'll cause lots of stuff to crash as botters swarm in... I hope Jagex improved their bot-catching technoques, they'll need it! It will be nice to give big birthday presents to my friends on rs, but since we all have max trade amounts anyway, that's not all that different.
I do have a bad feeling about this, tho... something I really can't put into words... a sense of foreboding, if you will... in the words of somebody from history (forgot who), "We stand upon the brink of the abyss..." or maybe Yeats would be a better quote: "Things fall apart; the center cannot hold; Mere anarchy is loosed upon the world."

@riminloth they are moving the necessities BUT i dont see the abyss and green drags etc things that were already in the wilderness. to be included in those. they were all there before the wildy was taken away and there i hope they shall stay. It was an incredibly balanced game before the updates and since then it has become a hell hole. thus why i quit.

Yea. I remember when the first 10-15 worlds were full. I have been playing this game for a long time and am looking forward to free trade coming back. Free trade and the wild add a unexplainable feeling of satisfaction when you play.

I almost quit until I heard this. But w00t! W00t! I know there will be some scam problems again, but I think it will get people playing again. My friend Runezboi is 17 he quit 2 years ago. Now he heard about this so hes playing again every once and a while.
The Good Things.
First of all I liked the street prices because they were lower and players were able to make there own prices. Santa hats used to be 12 Million GP before the trade limit update. After the update they became 80 Million GP!!!! Back in the realm of free trade it was easier to make a living in RuneScape 2 because of free trade. If you were killed in the wildy a friend could give you a decent amount of money to get you back on your feet. The trade limit made it so you'd have to be friends with someone for a long time to increase the amount of gold you can trade. Or, the more quest points you have the more money you can get. For the Wilderness! I liked the old Wilderness because it was like an ultimate bounty world. It made it more adventurous! Also its quite the risk taker. Being all alone in the graveyard of shadows or in level 54 Wilderness!
The Bad Things.
Well, its tough dealing with scammers and gold farmers but its worth the trouble because the free trade system and old wilderness make RuneScape 2 a good game.
Also, Mod Mark said "We're going to make the wilderness look the most like 2006 as possible."
So vote yes, no, or I don't mind!

I have been playing rs since early 2003 and I gotta say in my opinion the game was much more enjoyable then :p The GE has served a good purpose in allowing me to get food and potions easy, but some of the pricing is ridiculous. Also the "Street Price" thing is getting really old. Even if you had one of these highly priced items, you couldn't sell it for "street price" unless you had the same amount in junk. As for the wildy, I am tired of risking millions, killing millions, having 100% ep, and only getting 100k drop, or a 80k drop almost every time! Please take me back to when you got what you killed! lol. The game itself isn't bad now, it just lacks those few things it had post 2007 that made it what people loved. Now for the issue of all the bots and RWTing. PEOPLE ARE GOING TO DO RWT and there is nothing we can do to fully stop them. I have played many MMO's and this is a common factor among all of them. The only con I can see to any of this is the increasing number of bots, but I could easily overlook that with all the pro's in mind. As for overcrowding, I am sure jagex will make new worlds on new servers just as they always have in the past. We have it lucky now, I remember when it was just a handful of worlds :p (As A side note, gift giving would be much easier with the free trade) Thank You for anyone who has read this and I mean nothing offensively towards people who are against free trade and wildy comming back, I have read alot of your post and I can see it from your prospective ^_^

If free trade is back then the whole concept of the game is gone. You work hard and get rewarded and show off to people and then use that reward to get a bigger reward. If I get a Bandos God Sword for free, well good luck using that when everyone in the whole game has one as well. Not to mention 5 party hats, and full 3rd age. And there is no way the votes are in our favor anymore. 90% to 7%... The only hope is that Jagex thinks this out and realizes before it’s too late or listens to their players once and for all! Otherwise, Goodbye Runescape, you’ve served us all well. Copy and Paste this into your post so Jagex can read this.
