i hope thats the case fred, but as i think you can see, most of those players are not that intelligent, and think that what they think is best, despite the disaster reality, granted all we are doing is "crying" but not to the degree they did (look up on rs wiki world 66 riot, those are real babies)
and what you refer to as "training wheels" .. how about decent resources, the GE is great, made things much quicker (REALLY WHO WANTS TO GET ITEMS QUICKLY..WHY NOT WAIT HOURS!? WHAT AM I THINKING) .. oh gee i really must be the moron for not wanting to deal with scammers as i try to make a trade, or if i place an order for items, that in 4 minutes i may get them, i forgot what fun it was to search and search ...

and those strong single pkers... a minority, just like i am on this issue, dont try to sell the minority as a majority
its not like pkers changed their ways much on pvp worlds...and typically the most crowded areas are near safe areas.. or multicombat areas where one can pile with a clan just like the old wildy
those are the majority of pkers either borderhuggers or pkclan members

i know it sounds kinda silly, but its known as the "herd instinct" that if a whole bunch of people say and feel the same thing that it isnt wrong, false its still wrong, just sad that most people dont see it that way, just shows how much 90% of RS population DIDNT grow up

Duh Messiah, the "old" Runescape was a hugely important part of the community, sure, some of the people whom liked it were un-mature children, literally, but if you can't understand that this is what most of the people want, then maybe you might need to grow up just a bit...

Anyone who thinks botting is gone now, or is in any way reduced from the 2007 days is sadly mistaken.
And anyone who thinks that Jagex's bot detection system works is even more sadly mistaken.
I know a few people who started to bot ever since 2007 changes, and so far they have botted for countless months and have they been caught even once? NO!
One of them has gotten from 1600 total level to over 2000 total level purely by botting.
It was like a challenge for them to start botting after the changes cause there was like nothing smart to do anymore in the game after wilderness, duel arena and free trade were taken off from the game.
And has anyone seen the green dragons' at edge caves? There are more bots than you can count.
All I did in 2007 was quit... now after all these years I've come back in the hopes of getting back my RS life.
Overall: Botting hasn't been reduced at all, on the contrary. Those changes just caused many famous people to quit playing the former best game ever.
And about RWT, I think it is _mostly_ gone now but I cannot be sure. It's just that now instead of botting for money and RWT people bot for skilling and highscores.
About the vote itself:
Jagex has said that GE will remain and that activities from wilderness will be relocated assuming the changes take effect. And what's there to cry about anyway? Wilderness had activities even before pking was killed and nobody cried about it back then.
For all who want to know, I voted yes.
And all of you who vote no. I beg you to take in consideration all of us who got hammer smashed in the face by our favorite activites being removed from the game.
And don't even try to say that today's PVP comes near to old times PK, now you risk all and have very little chance to gain anything, back then you risked all and had a great chance to gain everything.
Have fun flaming me for I will not care about anyone's opinion who thinks PKing and duel arena are not part of RS.

7% seems low but if you consider that theres close to 1.05 million votes that small 7% is like 90k people
the game has 150k people that log in each day so what if that 90k that said no are the people that constinatly play and the people saying yes are people that have not played for a while and say there come back if wildy is introduced
but when it is they realise the game has changed a lot and leave what then?
also why do you assume everyone in the game is a skiller i love conquest as its easy to get full void in there/ i love going in the duel arean in void and killing people 1v1 its fun.
i love the mini games as they take away from the boring part of the game (stand and chop a tree or mine a rock 200 billion times to get a cape)
i love doing quests as they give experience and feel more rewarding that standing buy a bank fletching for 2 hours
if you look at my stas its pretty obvious i aitn a skiller hence why i get called noob all the time but thheres far more to the game that just skills thnak you
