I disagree with everyone complaining about the bots. Does anyone renember when all of the latest bots got caught and banned? over 15k accounts perm banned and prices for supplies like herbs dragon bones and essence shot up, pure essence was over 300gp each. Think about it the bots are doing what we players cant be bothered to do because it is too tedious to sit there and mine pure essence so the bots are doing us a favour, they are the backbone of the economy. if the all got banned again, rune prices would shoot up, and magic would be almost impossible. I am *** condoning people botting all of the time, but they are still a vital part of the game!

Tbh everybody, if this thread has taught me anything. its not how well the community of runescape works together. nor is it how many REALLY want or dont want the wildy and free trade back.Its taught me how narrow minded most of the runescape population is :L

I and meny of my friends have been wondering when will the votes come into play what i mean is sence around 90% of all of the voters vote yes to bring it back bot free trade and old wilderness so its kinda easy to see what is going to happen but when will it be brought back?

This may be true, but by that same logic they also make our work less valuable. No one wants to collect pure essence because it's worthless. If it were, as you mentioned, 300 gp ea, I think it'd get a lot more people thinking about mining it. Summary - maybe you're right, but driving prices down works both ways for us, good and bad.

i can't belive the amount of people that openly support bots / cheats they do not help the economy as new players usally do the tasks bots are doing.
Such as mining pure essence because it requires no skills and it is an easy way for them to make a bit of money early on.
In the old days people use to actualy hire new players to do so called dull task for them such as chop longs and mine rune esscence and pay them slightly over the top (which they can't do now free trade has gone).
Now all thoese new players have been repalced with cheats who makes millions a day out of selling items they did not get legit and because there so rich it pushes other prices up.
As for the argument it helps keep prices lower and lets killers make more :-
all essecne bots do is make the essence slightly cheaper, however in turn this makes runes cheaper
for example pure essence was 300gp at one time but natures where 350gp and chaos runes 130-170 gp
now essence is 170-200 chaos runes are 40-60 and natures 230-260 so its actualy no better for crafters.
also 17 bots choping one yew tree or mining iron does not help the economy as they make players stop choping yews or mining iron as there to crowded so theres less of them on the market meaning due to supply and demand the price goes up.
yews where 30ogp each and iron 40gp a few years ago now there 420-470gp and 210-240 gp
then when the bots get caught theres no one supplying these to the market for a while so the price goes even higher till people finally realise the bots have gone.

I am glad that this is up for a vote and I voted in favor of it but I wish there was a vote on 2 seperate issues
vote #1 bring back free trade
vote #2 bring back wildy
I am all in favor of bringing back free trade but still would like the GE to stay wich I believe has been stated by RS that it will stay so thank you for thinking that far ahead.
I am not thrilled with the Ideal of the old wildy returning since I am a skiller , It would be nice if worlds without the old wildy would be emplemented like it is now with pk and bounty only certain worlds have them, runescape could make certain worlds to where players will not have to worry about getting killed if they had to go into the wild , if I didnt have to do clue scrolls, penguins, Bork, Stars and a few other things in the wild I would never venture into the wild again and be happy about it.
Again I would like to thank runescape for bringing this to a vote
