I think its worth noting because I keep seeing the "China has made it illegal to goldfarm" over and over.
China has a population of 1.3BILLION people. Now while all obviously don't take part in goldfarming, many poorer more rural outskirts of the country. Such as closer to Mongolia and in the Tibetan region are no where near as built up and economically sound as the coast regions.
Another big thing in China that is also illegal is recycling Electronics. Where they will take a saunter and melt the pieces apart. Collecting any metals, breaking down the parts, and selling what they can from it. This potentially lethal due to the fumes yet people still do it.
So do not think, just because its illegal now. People wont try or don't. Not hell or high water is coming between a man trying to survive to see tomorrow. Much less the law.
So if Jagex's sole motivation for this was simply, "well China outlawed goldfarming" this will not end well. They must have something up their sleeves to counter this, or the issue of RWTing is peanuts compared to having the game losing players due to the removal of mostly. Free trade.
