Anyways, long ago, around 2004-2006 I believe, I made this account. I loved this game so much. I was obsessed with it. Me and my friends would form packs, run around in the wildy and annoy players five times our level fighting minor demons (or whatever). When we heard the wildy was being removed, we were actually physically depressed. This was before the days of Skype, Facebook, and the Party System in Xbox Live, so we didnt have many other ways to get together while far away and have fun. Plus, the changes happened on my birthday. How sad.
Over the years, I think I outgrew this game. Completely forgot about it. I occasionally visited it to see what was going on, and had mixed results every time. I had some fun showing off my ancient chicken suit and the thriller dance. Maybe I would attend a holiday event or so. But in the past 2 years, this game has faded from my memory.
One day, in a message board I shall not link to, some guy posted a thread telling us to vote "Yes, bring it back", and linked to the petition. I think I actually screamed like a 10 year old girl at a Justin Bieber concert.
Anyways, looking at what you did since you removed the wildy, I'm proud of you, Jagex. You made great decisions that made this game... fun to play. Also, the petition closing is happening on my birthday too. How great.
And my opinion on this? I say the extremely high risk factor is part of the game. It mightve been frustrating, but it was great reason to always over-prepare yourself, which is always a good idea. All the warnings for dangerous areas are good enough. Also, most people wont fall for scams after playing for a little while., and before then, they have nothing valuable. I'm not really here to argue though, so whatever.
I have a mid-term to study for, but you know what? I think I'm going to relive some old memories. See how runescape is doing these days. I'm in love again, Jagex. Thank you.
