i am all for the old wildy and free trade back. when the 2007 update came in people became very upset when they seen that thier beloved wildy was gone i think it was a grave mistake to take it off because they lost 100,000s of players and i think that they may get a lott of these players back that quit. I know that all my old friends that use to play and quit said that they would prob come back if free trade and wildy comes back.

Personally i find this a bad idea, Their are good things and bad things about this...
Free trade pro's:
- Merch clans will likely come to an end.
- Friends can now help each other more.

Free trade con's:
- Rise of hackers
- Rise of scammers

Wild pro's:
- areas that have clue scrolls and stuff will be relocated.

Wild con's:
- People will lure unsuspecting new players into the wild
- People that are lured into the wild will end up loosing their possessions, thus leading to a decrease in players since they will end up quiting.

Since this is really going down (results prove everything) you should add more warnings to keep the players safe.

Free trade con's:
- Rise of hackers (I think you mean botters and there are already botters in the game and the re release of Free Trade and the Wilderness won't increase their numbers, atleast not by much. Either way, Jagex already has ways to stop them.
- Rise of scammers (If you aren't dumb you won't get scammed.)

Wild pro's:
- areas that have clue scrolls and stuff will be relocated. (Ermm.. That isn't really a pro, I think the pro would be the exhilirating feelings will be back, I'll actually be able to get money from PKing and it will help the economy of Runescape? The relocation of SOME things is a mere side effect, things that were already there such as KBD, clue scrolls etc I do believe will still stay there. We had to deal with it when the wilderness was actually dangerous and you will too, if you don't like it tough luck cupcake.)

Wild con's:
- People will lure unsuspecting new players into the wild (Again, people won't get lured if they aren't dumb and realise that the wilderness is actually dangerous, and chances are if they are new players they won't have anything valuable so players won't waste their time luring them. And even if they did they could get their items back easily, kill some cows and you're good.)
- People that are lured into the wild will end up loosing their possessions, thus leading to a decrease in players since they will end up quiting. (Read above so called con reply)

Of course new players will be prey, but they will learn as did most of did with time!
New players need to walk before they run anyway, who just ventures into the Wilderness, (warnings, and the works) and expects peaches and daisies? NO!
You will be attacked! And if you can't stand the heat, stay out of the kitchen!

If there is any confusion, I DID vote yes a little while ago and I would love to see these features implimented once again into RuneScape. I believe it will bring back the old charm that it used to have that was lost when they were abruptly taken out.
However
Do i think that there will be problems? YES.
I recently went to Pes* Control to get a few pieces of Void armor back, and I was amazed at how many bots there were playing the game. I literally saw 7 players acting the same way attacking random pests while a portal shield was down.
Jagex claims that their bot detection system has been upgraded now compared to 2007, which i believe it has since I no longer see level 3 Oak tree choppers anywhere in F2P, but is it foolproof? Heck no.
I have people in my clan that sometimes actively trap the endless amount of botters mining pure essence in Varrock, which is still surprising to me since botting Pure Essence mining has been around for a very, very long time.
Anyway, since the Wilderness and Free Trade was taken out due to bot activity, Jagex needs to make sure they have a firm grasp on bots NOW, BEFORE they implement these features yet again.
Do I think they do?
Not as well as they should.
