@Sirius
Did you ever play the old Runescape? The pre-updated one? Because honestly, some clans actually DID let newcomers tag along. Just had to be wary- if you didn't carry your own weight and actually be a great asset to the PKing, you were done for.
And yes, you died- but someone HAS to die at some point, don't they? It's one player or the other. If both players lived every time, nobody would like PKing. The point is, you gain some or you lose some. It's the risk that makes it fun. You look back on it and go, "Crud... I wish I hadn't done ___ and lost my ____. I should've done ____ so I could've gotten away or done _____ so I could have gotten his loot."
It makes you a better Pker. And I don't mind a lack of level limits. If you want people closer to your level, stay in the lower levels of the wilderness, where you have a chance to fight people your own size. Personally, I thought it was fun to run into a group of lower level pures that packed some surprising power. Never underestimate or over estimate.
You should really go back and research the old wilderness if you were never part of it. It's not as cheap and unfair as you may think. Others, such as Runecrafters, were made incredibly sneaky and crafty through the old Wilderness. They figured out how to get around PKers.
