I have no idea why, though. Ironman is in-game self-sufficiency, not "hard mode". If Jagex-given bonuses make you dependent on others, then you may as well just code the game yourself from scratch and play that, since this is Jagex's game. But obviously my opinion pales in comparison to the community's.

Yep - I just checked, and you're correct. Ironman accounts aren't eligible for Double XP Weekend.

Hopefully this playstyle will continue to serve as an alternative for the players who doesn't agree with some of the more "discussion worthy" changes made over the last couple of years ;)

Once again, Jagex gives the shaft to shiftworkers.

A better idea would be to give people a chunk of bonus XP, and give them a week or two period to use it up. That way, people don't get screwed by their work schedules, every single time there is a double XP weekend.

I generate electricity for a living. People need electricity on the weekend to play Runescape, thus I need to work on weekends. Jagex has screwed me over too many times with this, I think this time around I might just switch the power off so that nobody can play.
