Thanks for making this thread. In the past, I have noticed JMods tweeting with their Twitter accounts before being placed on the verified list. Imo, JMods should simply reserve their Twitter handles but not tweet with them or modify their accounts until they get their name on the verified list. This would ensure that the official list is always accurate, up-to-date and a reliable source of who to follow for new JMods who have already started tweeting and interacting with the community.

Also, I think the official RS account should have a pinned Tweet introducing the latest 5 or 10 JMod accounts and remove the older ones in the order they were created so people can keep up-to-date with who's a new JMod on Twitter. It could be useful for the official RS account to always be introducing the new accounts itself as a form of verification for the community.

Also, I thought IVP invested in both RS and Twitter. Isn't there a way you can try getting the RS Twitter and possibly JMod twitters quickly verified or is that all still complicated?

I strongly doubt it is this simple. Yes, IVP has invested in Twitter, but I don't know to what extent. Even if this were the case that they had the power to do this, I don't think they would. Every account that earns the status of being Verified has to be selected by Twitter on their own terms. Furthermore I don't think JMods will ever be verified, simply because they have a too small follower ship and can also leave on any occasion at Jagex. This would result in Twitter doing work for, hopefully not :p , nothing.

thank you jmods as a new player to rs I look to jmods and jagex I got botted twice in wilderness .. lol I did not understand what happened to me I also found a lot of scamers etc... I play rpg games over 25 years .. I came to rs because it was my kind of rpg game .. real close to my Dungeons and Dragons world I had as a Dungeon Master it took me 5 yerars to make my world up and everyone loved it .. you could do almost anyting I had to put limits on things the war lords only wanted war and some players want to carry off things they could not carry and a host of other things that did not fit for a fun game for all it took 7 years to get it right but my world was one of the best but I had to go off to work and put it all away now its gone forever so iam gona do my own thing and try to fit in.. ok thank you jagex for a realy great game...

Taking the pinned tweet idea on board - it's difficult, because we like to showcase our latest content as a pinned tweet, but we can try to mix it around a bit!

And as for Twitter verification - I've been campaigning for this for a while, but it's Twitter's call at the end of the day. At any rate, it'd be the official @RuneScape/@OldSchoolRS/@Jagex channels which got verified, not individual Jmod accounts (unless we became celebrities).

I've also updated the Jmods on Twitter Wiki page, and have made a New Year's Resolution to ensure it's updated with the most up-to-date information possible every week.

So @JagexLucy & @JagexRosie (some of our Facilities Team) have been added to the Wiki.
