What? Utterly nonsensical. Charitable contributions are
100%
tax deductible. It comes directly off their tax liability at a 1:1 ratio. Until their tax liability hits zero it's essentially "Free." It doesn't touch their profits.
15% (a conservative number based on US rates, UK is known to be much higher) of twenty million profit is 300k. Even both Well of Goodwill promotions only equal 250k.
