Hum, about 6 weeks of advanced notice for a bxp 'o.O
Well then, seems I have plenty of time to stockpile ridiculous amounts of skilling materials for once
Seriously, I've missed every bxp weekend other then the very first one ... And I may or may not have forgotten about a certain double xp aura that may or may not have been sitting in my bank ... *Cough*

Now the question remains, does Bonus XP Weekend stack with standard Bonus Xp?

I just realised this is literally a DOUBLE XP weekend, not a "bonus" XP one like those I have participated in, in the past. That is some crazy XP!

From the wiki:

4. Will the XP modifier reduce over time as with previous bonus XP events?

No! The bonus XP modifier is set at x2 for members' worlds and x1.2 for free worlds for the whole weekend. Note that members on free worlds will only receive the x1.2 modifier.

What makes us remember back 6/7 years ago as RuneScape being at it's best is because getting a 99 cape was an achievement, respected even. Now players can get capes from 1 - 99 within 2 weeks (RC Span among others) and I think players have had their fill of free xp. We've even had 120 capes introduced because a 99 means so little now. I know some will post about not accepting the free xp/lamps/treasure etc but it's there and hard to resist.

Too much of a good thing is a waste I say.

Living on Earth is expensive, but it does include a free trip around the Sun....
