So, at around 2pm BST on 5th August, all you’ll need to do is head straight into game to check if the name you’re after is available.

Jagex said that in the post. So I'm unclear on whether it's just in-game or both in-game AND website.

"the straight into game" line confused me too :( ! I think they meant if you already changed your name a month before and want to buy a bond to change your name, you have to head straight into game and change your name there after buying the bond. However, I think you can still change your name in account management. I'd try both in game and the website to be sure though. Best of luck.

ok, so after two months! I got bored of my old runescape name so I decided to change it, I clicked yes and I found an epic name for me which i was happy with... then my internet page turned to 404 error.... -.- so I try to change my name back to what i wanted and then i received a message saying unavailable to chose this name...

I started typing lots of random stuff in to the name change and believe it or not... this name(iwanago) come up and it got accepted -.- I HATE this name and I thought to myself, thank god I can buy a bond; problem solved.... I have bought a bond, selected change name, I changed my name to what I wanted it to be called and the 404 error comes up again... then it says the name is unavailable.... so i refresh the page etc etc and then I receive a message saying I can't change my name, i would have to buy another bond for me to be able to....

Please can I change my name can I have the option to change it!!!! I just wasted money on a bond and it was no use for me.
