Lolololol

I bought myself a 900 euro acer laptop before christmas and it has almost the same specs. Mine has i7-4702MQ 2.2-3.2GHz(w/turbo), NVIDIA GEFORCE GTX 760m 2.0 GB GDDR5, Full HD 17.3" Acer ComfyView LCD, 8GB memory DDR3, RPM 5400, 1 Terabyte HDD, 120W power usage.

Mine only has a crappier casing and no backlights, but it can play RS smoothly on max if i take idle animation off. That alienware can also just barely play RS on max setting and forget about HM*L5 beta.

I still entered and hope to have a backup Laptop.

Lol wut? I'm currently using Lenovo G505s what specs are alot crappier than yours, and it still can play RS with MAXED settings AND with animations. I can even play HTML5 with low-mid settings.
Mine does run on max setting, but if i turn on anti aliasing then my FPS goes really blurry, i can only use anti aliasing if i turn idle animation off. Don't get me wrong its still playable on max, but it is not smooth like 50 fps, for that i have to turn off either anti aliasing or idle animation.

HTML5 i can also run on the lowest setting with decent FPS, but i am talking about running slow on max settings.

I don't have a facebook account, and never will (fake or otherwise). Like many others my idea of social networking is with real people, preferrably at some local hostelry/sporting event etc.

More and more RS players are being ignored just because they don't use twitter etc. If only we had the same level of JMod interaction on these OFFICIAL forums, then I'm sure we wouldn't complain so much about Jagex using social networks.

These competitions should be available to all your players, not just the minority (as determined by your own poll) who "follow" on social media like a load of sheep.

You complain about not being to be able enter the contest, because you choose to not spend 5 min making a facebook account. If you don't wanna make an account for what ever reason then that is your problem.

Its more than just not being able to enter the competition, it's the whole ethos of Jagex ignoring their own OFFICIAL forum (how often do JMods post on the forum - a lot less than post on social media) and pandering to the minority that use social media.

To those who feel left out by it being through facebook.
They never actually said it has to be your facebook page. I am sure almost all of you have friends who do use facebook. All you have to do is ask for them to like RS and enter the competition and put in YOUR email address in the entry (only Jagex will use that and only if you win). I am sure one of your friends wont mind especially if you let them use the laptop on occation if you win.

If you are still worried about using your email you can easily make a fake free email in no more than 5 mins on gmail and only us it for this.
