The idea isn't to get 'close to the J-mod'. If you follow the simple instructions given out by both J-mods and p-mods, all would run smoothly. Simply stand still and be patient. Once you get stamped, leave the area.
The J-mod will walk around stamping ppl as they go. With a smaller, more concentrated area, the stacks of ppl on the same spot would be higher.
