Lol, this is just Jagex's way of taking the weekend off during a planned event. They can "say" they had Ninja stamping sessions, yet, no way to prove they didnt as there are a ton of worlds and locations.

They are actually on a beach laughing at all us die hard rs addicts waiting around for a stamp session that isnt happening.....

No, they aren't asking that, are they?
All they are asking is that, rather than telling you in advance when they will be around, they ask that you sit in front of your computer hour after hour, in the hope that they might host a session.

Some people might be ok with that.
