click the gate to pass thru shanty pass, if u don't get starting message in 5 steps u failed to leave shanty pass. then enter or try to enter the north gate at soph I dont think you need to do the quest to enter soph to succeed.

did you set it as your active task before doing it?
and you couldn't take water not even water tiara, nor tele or take the carpet

you can also try to lobby and then come back in game to do the task again
if that doesn't help, you can file a bug report

Make sure the task is set as ''Active'' in the journal.
Don't just run through Shantay Pass, you must right click it and select ''go through''.
You will then get the message in your chatbox that you have commenced the task.

You must have done the quest to enable entry into Sophanem. When you get there, right click the gate and select ''open gate'' to enter.

You don't have to have the Sophanom quest. I didnt do it on my 3rd acct, you just have to touch the soph gate to complete it.

Since I did the quest quite a long time ago anyway, I just naturally assumed you needed it to enter the city to complete the task. '' Grow up Raj, there's no place for truth on the internet. ''

Lol, ya thats what I thought when I read the task list. I figured my 3rd wouldnt be able to do it. I went ahead and tried and it completed when I touched the gate, along with the gate guards telling me I could not enter lol. But i completed the task and got the lamp.
