You guys realize they didn't even have to include a j-mod support mechanic to the event and they only did so out of generosity.
20 tasks for the month is more than generous already and lets face it, the challenges are not difficult. If it wasn't for the daily restriction to 1 player do-able task each day I would've finished within a couple a days and others in 1 session.
This event is supposed to consist of tasks meant for the player to do and not for relying on j-mods to throw a bone to you. Otherwise the event would be called RS piggieback ride the j-mods.
Rofl, and to top it off...My journal was one of the ones that glitched and didnt reset one day so I still lost out on 2 tasks that day. How ironic.
I just think if Jagex would just take the time when doing updates / events and see things from a players view, alot of the issues could be fixed before releasing.
I try to see things from both sides in everything I do in life, including this mis~hap.
I am neutral in this fight between the players that get ticked off when a jmod doesn't show and the ones that don't care because jagex is being generous. I just post my opinion in the neutral zone.

Yes, and thats where they went wrong in the first place. The Stamped task is an additional one each day; the only way to get 2 per day is using jmod assistance.
So by putting this mechanic into it, which yes was their choice, they created the problem.
If we had the option to physically do 2 tasks per day, how many of these complaints do you think we would have seen?
The majority of people would have used a couple of stamps to pick off their most despised ones, and on most days they would have grabbed a stamp if convenient, or otherwise just done it themselves.
But as it is currently structured? Those who hammer stamps every day for the first 10 days get the rewards first, in half the time of someone who actually does the tasks themselves.
Thats poorly designed.

The fact that some geniuses were laughed at does not imply that all who are laughed at are geniuses. They laughed at Columbus, Fulton, and the Wright brothers. But they also laughed at Bozo the Clown.

Ive done the shanty run task several times now but I cant seem to complete.
Plz I need help.
Make sure the task is set as ''Active'' in the journal.
Don't just run through Shantay Pass, you
must
right click it and select ''go through''.
You will then get the message in your chatbox that you have commenced the task.
No waterskins, and no enchanted tiara.
Do not veer near the monkey colony mid-desert; it counts as leaving the desert and ends your run.
You must have done the quest to enable entry into Sophanem. When you get there, right click the gate and select ''open gate'' to enter.
