Just like back in the day when software aided playing was commonplace. Only then news were mostly about gathering / combat skills.
Well... no new 99's for me but some decent progress with various skills. Lvl ups in construction, divination, herblore, smithing, summoning.
It was fun while it lasted though in my opinion it lasted a bit too long (especially if one had been stockpiling / preparing resources [which I did*). Maybe next time 2xXP could be only 24 hours though one might be able to choose within a weeks timeframe when to start the double xp timer to circumvent the effect of obstacles to attend at a specified time. Sometime in August ppl are starting to wonder when is the double xp weekend of 2014 going to be. Short memories. PLEASE do not make a poll if we should have another one. No new double xp weekends this year. The one we just had was almost beyond ridiculous. All the various bonusxp sources have altered my thinking so that there are some skills I consider not training at all unless there is bonus xp too. Or even if there is bonus xp counter the skill might still be unappealing. Like agility. I only go on agi course if it is a daily task or I want strange rocks. After lvl 91 and fremennik tasks complete the skill appears to have nothing further to offer. It starts being interesting again when it is the last obstacle left to coquer in order to get max cape. I neglect construction and hunter as well because these do not provide enough incentive to progress beyond a certain point. Instead of keeping us constantly doped on bonus xp, make skills interesting all the way to 99. Highscores or 200mil do not motivate me.
Hopefully enough donations were made to make a difference so we can wear our tunics proud.
