Wrote a thread about this in the HLF - Feedback. Since you created the Fansite thread I hope you have some answers all removed fansites are searching for
I provide you, Infinity, with the main content from the HLF-Feedback thread. You can also find it here,
Fansites removed, WHY?
.
I just found out that a lot of fansites were removed without a word from anyone? I would love to have an explanation of why. As far as I can see, only fansites using English as their language are remaining fansites while all other got removed? Maybe there are more? Anyway. I see that Runevillage lost their fansite status. And for this case I can find a reason (look at
Removal of a Fansite's Support
for more information). But that is just one out of, lets say maybe at least six? (Edit: Since it was unclear, I do not support the fansite that did get the response and by a given cause got removed.)
I remember there was a Spanish, a Finnish, a French, a Dutch and two Swedish (well one of the Swedish was inactive since years ago so maybe that can be a reason.) But the other Swedish fansite got removed on what grounds? Not a word. I've spoken with the owners of the website I am a part of and they got no clue. Not even a mail about anything regarding this. All they got is that there is going to be a re-organisation.

What? Why did you remove all those other sites just because one US had a *** offender?
I demand explanation!
Agree!
I also no found out that Runepoli, former Finnish platinum ranked fansite, got NO information on this either. Yes you read correctly, PLATINUM.
