I don't agree with the EoC, but I will give it a try. One of the reasons is because I'm a zerker pure and I've earned a fighters torso, rune defender, fighters hat and cannot wear them anymore. We cannot wear rune armour, I guess we will have to wear proselyte. It'll take time to get used to, but I will not completely judge the EoC until I check it all out myself.

I had just started to get use to the old rs making money, ranging, maging and melee but now all my hard work means nothing. This update e.o.c. put me back to zero none of my weapons or gear are worth anything in a battle. You took away the dark bow special attack n I am selling all my stuff. I had less than a year to make it to 5 years playing. Now I am contemplating if I should stay or go. Not sure yet but I am selling everything and starting all over again with all my gear this is not a very good feeling :( All my poison weapons have been wiped clean now we have to buy this silly potion that lasts only so long? why...sniff sniff whyy? :( I can't safe spot anymore with the grot worms either as a ranger that was my thing :( not anymore so sad n hurt * bruised battered but dragging my feet along to say ok I am going to try this a little while longer but if I cant figure out how to be what I was before you changed the game I may not stay as a player anymore.

I admittedly did not read all the preceding posts...I am a 58 year old woman, mum, playing runescape since 2006...
It seems to me that you would have been better served by making these "wannabe popular" changes to combat elective rather than mandatory. I, personally love slayer and really dislike how these 'across the board' changes have affected my play. On a very sober note...Jagex... please don't try to make me play like the World of Warcraft players...I love Runescape, as an older player (with money)...give us a choice.

LOL - Like my name - its old school now.
A note to all, I was speaking with a friend over lunch and he is a WOW fanatic. I showed him Runescape and duel arena once in the past to help him understand one of the many things I loved about Runescape. What I showed him was a quick match with my lvl 86 where I 2 hit with Mage 400 + 400 and then claw spec'd a higher level. He said, "now that is power." So today I was speaking with him and was telling him about the addition of the abilities and the action bar, and he said - yes that sounded good. Then I told him, but they totally redid the weapons and took away my specials, he just shook his head. He said "why did they do that, they could have just put them in the action bar?" I described the many other changes and he stated that if they did that in his game of WOW it would cause havoc.
I for one have never played WOW, not even one little bit of interest. As each day passes and my memberships on a total of 8 accounts for our household come nearer to an end I feel doomed to the realization that planners, developers and management at Jagex have absolutely no idea how deeply offended I am by the their effort to push this game upon all of the Runescape community.
I would be very interested in how they would feel if I totally changed a beloved character of theirs, completely redid everything then enjoyed, they would be enraged. I would gamble they would quit or likely fight for it to be corrected. My accounts expiring will happen, I am no quitter!! But I simply cannot find enjoyment is this game!!! So what will be, will be.

I have 3 accounts, all of them being members. 2 of them are pures, and one is an almost maxed account. I've been playing for 7 years, and I've loved the game, but hated all the updates. I was ok with many of the updates, but come November 20, 2012, I'm unsubscribing my membership. Many are doing this, and Jagex doesn't seem to care. Jagex simply seems to WANT to ruin the game, and WANTS to betray their loyal members. Jagex - Real world traders, backstabbers, and most of all, they ruined the game that made my childhood. Thanks, Jagex. Can't wait to unsubscribe. ;)

There are some minigames that have just got messed up with eoc. I used to play sc all the time. and sc is ruined because of overpowered range... i also dunge alot, which eoc didnt really affect very much. but sc strategy is now so stupid because theres no more antibase, no more iteming, no more item maging, and people die to gain points? the more u die the more points u gain? that so ruined sc. i useda be super into sc because the strategy is so much more different than outside of sc. idm the eoc, just please at least fix sc. it absolutely ruined it. range was never anybody's first choice in cb attack in fact it was the last in sc. it would be mage and melee in sc. while i like the idea of having range in it, the eoc system ruined sc by making range the only viable option. please help restore sc at least.
