To be honest, Mod Lord should just get his P45 and the job be given to Max, no offence but it is a thousand times better than anything you have ever composed for RS ;) .

Anyhow, I'd be really curious to hear the facilities that Max used. If those are synth sounds, (definitely heard some but not sure about others), then I wanna know what software you are using. Did you play in the cello near the opening of the piece or was it generated? If it was generated then that is an impressive sound. Well impressive either way :) .

First of all, and this goes without saying: these entries are freaking amazing!

I have two "issues," though. The first has been discussed: why the hell isn't Max getting something amazing for the sheer awesomeness of what he's done?

Moreover, though, I feel like this contest was incredibly unbalanced. Clearly, Max has access to some incredibly impressive synths (or even more impressive access to real instruments). If this is going to be done again, I would suggest making two contests, either by genre (classical/electric) or by skill level (amateur/professional). I really feel like some other amazing works got cut out of this*

*and no, I'm not trying to boost myself. Compared to the other entries, mine was awful.

Edited to add: Listening to the medley now. These are amazing! I would really, really love to hear some of these entirety.

I think the winning track felt a bit.. distant, it sounds more like background music rather than a stand-alone track. Quality and everything is excellent, though.

And why is there a rock/metal version in the medley made with MIDI guitars?

I am kind of disappointed that you chose a regular ol' orchestrated track as the winner even though every genre/combination was allowed.

And at least give the winner member for life. You're going to profit from his track for free, and a couple of spins seem way below what he deserves.

Disappointed this wasn't advertised perhaps through the RS YouTube or more on the homepage, I would have loved to submit some soundtracks. Have only one uploaded to my YouTube (YikesOfficial), but I have many that are very close to releasing - but I am always tweaking things (any musician would know).
Anyway, congratz winners...
